‘Beto’ Does Not Like To $hare With Others

BPR: Despite touting socialist-like policies, Texas Democrat congressional nominee Rep. Beto O’Rourke seems to prefer not sharing his wealth, much to the chagrin of other nominees across the nation.

“It’s great that O’Rourke has inspired so many people and raised so much money, and if he can spend it all effectively in Texas, he is well within his rights to do so,” Matthew Miller, a veteran Democrat strategist and Texas native, said to The New York Times last week.

The problem is that the polls continue to show O’Rourke trailing leagues behind Sen. Ted Cruz, whom he seeks to unseat. The chances of him eking out a victory appear so low that some argue he should redistribute some of the $38 million he’s raised in the last three months to other nominees in need.

“[H]e could have a huge impact for the party by sharing some of it with the D.S.C.C. so it could be spent in states where candidates just need a little extra to get over the hump,” Miller added, referencing the Democrat Senatorial Campaign Committee.

Miller isn’t the only Democrat who feels this way. Paul Kane, a liberal who poses as a “reporter” for The Washington Post, also believes O’Rourke should share, as do others on social media. MORE

  1. The attempted buying of a political seat, by people who aren’t even represented by that seat. dnc policy and practice. The salary for that contested seat is around $174,000 per year. And the dnc is throwing about 60 million into the race. Something ain’t right.
Fortunately, some things just can’t be purchased, and the good people of Texas seem to be aware of that.

  2. I love this line: “…Paul Kane, a liberal who poses as a “reporter” for The Washington Post, also believes….”

With Trump’s win over Hillary for almost half the bucks and O’Rourke’s $38 million stash, we may be coming to the end of the extent to which money can buy elections. That would be nice.

The Dems yammered about Citizen’s United ad nauseum, but they are the ones with all the illegal, under the table, outside the country bucks hidden in their shoes. They have many many ways to cheat. It would be nice if it didn’t matter. ….Lady in Red

  3. Soros is his largest contributor. And Beto care only about Beto so he will not be sharing anything. He has to keep some bail money for the next time he is arrested.

  4. There needs to be changes to political donations that forbid one candidates donations being transferred to another. In addition at the end of a campaign, whatever money is left over should be donated to a charity instead of being used by the candidate or the party as a slush fund. I know dispersal of those funds is supposed to be controlled but I suspect it never ends up being dispersed according to the regulations.

  5. Beto’s Cali, NYC and Sorus funds, and to an equal extent Fletchers Pelosi back cartel, have purchased so much air time that we Texans are constantly bombarded with their ads. The amount of ad placement is overkill and honestly considerably annoying. It has reached the point where a viewer cannot watch local news without throwing up because these two have too much money to spend. They have no viable platforms to run on just uber liberalism and smear ads. I can’t wait for this crap to be over.
