Made-for-TV Reality

Patriot Retort: There are two realities in America today.

There is reality-reality — where we all live.

And then there’s the made-for-TV reality of the corporate news media.

In reality, Americans live our lives, raise our kids, earn some money, pay the bills, attend school, church, or sporting events. We do the laundry – or in my case, call the appliance repairman to fix the washing machine. We laugh, live, love, garden, shop, or spend time on the Internet watching silly cat videos or taking BuzzFeed quizzes to find out how much we know about Star Trek.

Then there’s the made-for-TV reality of the corporate news media.

This made-for-TV reality is bleak, dystopic, and teetering on the brink of collapse.

Where radicalized white men are hiding in the shadows waiting to kill you because Trump has been sending them coded messages in his rally speeches.

In this alternate “reality,” MS-13 are just bike-riding young scamps who love America. And calling them “animals” is racist, not to mention denying their spark of divinity. Antifa is an African-American organization seeking peace through violence. And a mob chasing people out of a restaurant while screaming in their faces is not a mob.  more here
