Dear Montana, Thanks For Nothing – IOTW Report

Dear Montana, Thanks For Nothing

TownHall: Tuesday’s midterm elections weren’t a slam dunk for either party, not by anyone’s estimation. Democrats managed to avoid another apocalyptic election meltdown and keep their base from flipping out by flipping the House, if barely, and Republicans added slightly to their already slight majority in the Senate. We sent at least three Red State fake moderate Kavanaugh thumbs-downers packing and, even better, the GOP ‘squishy caucus’ ranks have been whittled down to Ben Sasse and his imaginary better angel. There’s still Collins and Murkowski, of course, but now President Trump’s judicial nominees aren’t depending on ‘good feelz’ from either to get confirmed. And that’s definitely a good feeling for conservatives.

Thankfully, as I wrote last Monday in my then-unwelcome (judging by a few of the comments which basically boiled down to ‘you’re an idiot’ and ‘kill yourself’) ‘silver lining’ prediction piece, all isn’t lost for Republicans or the Trump agenda. Not by a long shot.

But alas, Montana, none of this is thanks to you. That’s right, instead of helping further the agenda of the person you voted for at a 56 percent clip in 2016, you instead chose to send the massive, flannel-shirt wearing crew-cutted wonder, Democrat Jon Tester, back to the Senate for – wait for it – a THIRD term.  more

  1. Just sayen, Montana has alway had more than it’s fair of poor people that like free shit. Poor, I’m sorry, I meant white trash. And then again most of them are felons so WTF? Interesting shit. Montana is one of the few states that will give you back your gun rights even though your a felon. Why? because most people there live off the meat they shoot.

  2. Don’t forget road kill. Just cut around the bruise and you have real meat there. You don’t even need a hunting license for that. Yeah, there is some white trash in Montana, and it’s getting worse.

  3. And this is the kind of politics that makes it so damn hard to pack up and move to a place that is more to our liking. Liberals are ruining everyplace. Wyoming might be the last place left, but how do you get fresh salmon in Wyoming? Somehow I think we have to win our home ground, but right now I know I’m outnumbered like crazy here in Western Washington. It’s tough, I hope my kids and grandkids are tough because they are going to have to be.

  4. Re: “Senator” Fester –
    This Montanan is unhappy about that porcine bastard’s reelection too. My conversations with people from his hometown, Big Sandy, say that few there can stand him either. There’s no excuse when we had a chance to get rid of the betraying bastard (unless of course, you’re a far left (d) sycophant) but here are most of the reasons:
    1. Seven Indian reservations, home to many happy to remain there and receive federal $;
    2. Nolackaloonies, the State Capitol, characterized by local government not wildly different from that found in San Friancisco, obviously will vote for more government;
    3. Missoula and Bozeman, home to the major units of the MT university system and two of the largest “urban” areas of the state; and,
    4.”Congenital” (d)s, located in the old major union towns (primarily Butte, Anaconda, Great Falls, Missoula and the Deer Lodge valley).

    I don’t think we can blame all of this on the californicators and stupid students at the Us. We DID have our chance to rid ourselves of this swamp parasite!

    If you look at the vote map for this latest election, you’ll see that what I wrote above is exactly where most of the votes for Fester came from – just as I mentioned in a comment here a couple of months ago. I had just hoped that there were enough of us left with functioning brains to overcome those odds. Silly me…

  5. I hate to say it, but it was war vets that pushed Tester through to the win.

    Tester managed to convince the vets that he was ‘for them’. I heard their comments regarding Tester first hand.

  6. I feel sorry for you Montana but the liberal dumbasses in Wash. state keep reelecting Maria Cantwell. Her GOP opponent was some no named babe who didn’t stand a chance, I didn’t even know who she was until I got my voters pamphlet in Oct. And does anyone know if Dino Rossi won Dave Reichert’s (GOP) old Congressional seat? There has been no news in E. wash. regarding that.

  7. Hey i voted for rosendale; a bunch of environmental leftists move here fleeing their disasters; problem is they keep voting left wing. They’re how we got this ecological disaster called wolves. The university of Montana is as left wing as anything you’ll see on the news and they attract the crazies

  8. “… for Republicans or the Trump agenda …”

    Are they mutually exclusive?
    The Republican “agenda” is, basically, the Menshevik “agenda.”
    The Trump “agenda” is, basically, the American “agenda.”

    I do appreciate the “or” rather than the “and.”
    I hope it’s not lost on too many.

    izlamo delenda est …
