Brand-new classic Ford Broncos For Sale

FOX: In about a year you’ll be able to buy a new Ford Bronco that’s inspired by the original. But if you can’t wait that long, you can by an original Bronco that’s brand new right now.

Gateway Bronco of Hamel, Ill., which started out as a restoration shop specializing in the classic SUVs just over two years ago, has been granted the first license from Ford to build ground-up recreations of the 1966 to 1977-era Bronco.  MORE

  1. Yes, now you too can pretend to know about automotive maintenance and restoration. For 2 easy payments of 49 thousand you can be the proud owner of a 7 thousand dollar vehicle…..

  2. Hopefully my next vehicle purchase. There’s half a dozen companies doing these Retro Mods. A junk rolling chassis will run you 12K. You can find these Retro Mods in the high 50K range. However it’s not going to depreciate.

  3. Sorry, joe6pak, you should know that the govt wouldn’t let that get by.

    Gateway updates the…engines, using either a 347 cubic-inch “stroker” V8 or a 5.0-liter Coyote from the current F-150.

These will have current engine control processors and all the bells and whistles for Big Brother to watch your every mile.

  4. Fix or repair daily, Fails on road daily. I’ve had a few FORDS but never an original Bronco. 2 Bronco IIs that both died from rust in the frames. Some how they’re never quite the same when its a do over…also 7 jeeps. The list is long.

  5. I still have my one-owner 2000 Ranger. 145K miles. a little rust. 4L, 4spd, 40w/ch 4 speaker stereo.
I plug in a SD Card player/hands free for the phone adapter.
Won’t get a new one unless it has the 6cyl/6spd eco-boost my F150 co truck has.

  6. I owned a ’67 when I was a kid.
It was rather wore out when I got it…
Ended up 2 wheel drive with a posi
and some 35″ x 12.5″ tires in the rear.
Did ok in most sand situations.

  7. just restore an original. They were roll over happy vehicles but they were mules in the snow.

They werent a cj5 w/a 304 4 spd but ya cant all be king of the hill.

This retro rage is cool but I could never afford a new mustang etc when they were new, and i still cant. And if i could afford one i would still prefer to be seen in a restored or barn find. Give me a real 64 plymouth or 58 chevy or 67 fastback.

I have some experience with them. Off the show room floor or box stock, not that impressive. Put a couple Lockers in one and go have fun. I’ve owned a bunch of four wheelers in my day, and there’s not one I’ve not modified.

  9. My first car was a ’57 Ford Custom 300, bought used for $400. Ran OK, but prone to rust unless you paste waxed it constantly. Haven’t owned a Ford since then. Discovered my first foreign car when I was stationed in Germany in ’67. Haven’t owned an American car since then.

I like cars you don’t have to mess with in order to keep them running.
