The Stoned Guest was a classic. I was browsing LP’s in my local library as a kid in the late 70’s, and checked it out one day. John Ferrante, bargain counter Tenor plays Don Octave.

The classical music profession is filled with snobs and I’m willing to bet most conductors would look down on this one. This is refreshing and makes classical music more palpable to the average person who wouldn’t normally appreciate it. Kudos to Rainer Hersch.
