Chick-Fil-A to Become Third-Largest Fast Food Chain in U.S.

Breitbart: Chick-fil-A is growing at such a rapid pace that it is expected to become the third largest fast food chain in the U.S., surpassing competitors like Subway.

Business has been booming for Chick-fil-A, as sales for the chicken sandwich chain soared by 15.5 percent in 2018 and traffic to its stores went up by 10 percent since 2017.

But the privately-held chicken sandwich franchise is making such a splash that it is catching up to publicly-traded competitors such as McDonalds and Wendy’s years ahead of schedule.  More here

  1. For over a decade, I drove the same way to work and there would be this circle off the main road with a McD’s, a Wendy’s and a Taco Smell. Wendy’s was closed at 6 am. Taco Smell closed at 6 am.

McDonald’s at 6 am had line going around the building, out to the main road and people blocking a traffic light to get in. Constantly.

Flash back to earlier this year. A Chik Fil A opens a block down the street from these others. Now the line is out their parking lot and I have smooth sailing as I watch McD’s half empty parking lot.

Rude, nasty, slow, poor quality and not much less expensive is no way to run a business.

  2. The amazing thing about their success is that not only are they closed on Sunday, but their stores are few and far between (at least here out west) meanwhile #1 McDonalds and #2 Starbucks can be found on every corner of every podunk town from sea to shining sea.
