Martina Navratilova: ‘Having a Penis’ and Calling Yourself a Woman Doesn’t Mean You Can Compete Against Women

Tennis legend and long-time gay rights activist Martina Navratilova, tweeted and then deleted an attack on policies allowing natural-born men to compete against natural-born women, in sports.

Navratilova has been a gay rights activist for decades and is no right-winger, but it appears she is not on the liberal bandwagon for transgenderism.

In a series of tweets posted on December 18, the 1978 Wimbledon winner came out against trans women (natural-born men) competing against women. Naturally, she immediately took heat from the left and soon deleted the initial tweet.  more here

  4. Since there is no difference between males and females all should compete equally in all sports! No separate leagues or sports! Come one come all and may the best man win! Or as the surrender frogs say “Viva no Difference”!

  5. It’s going to be a bumpy ride…

    “Level playing field”? “Fairness?”

    How is that possible in sports games in which size, mucularity, coordination, and related physical attributes make some people better than others. (Isn’t that the point?)

    Can a 5’3″ man become a linebacker? Can a blind man become a race car driver? Speaking of “fairness”, it just seems to me to be “unfair” that I can’t be an opera singer…

    I think g’bye to “women’s sports” and Title IX. I have mixed feelings…

    (Perhaps people should be addressing the real issue, which is that people cannot change their “sex” and that the concept of people having “genders” is just hideously stupid.)

    P.P.S. It occurs to me that real issue #2 here is the suppression of free speech, disallowing thoughtful and open conversations about this topic (which I suspect might get resolved forthwith, were people to get honest.)

  8. Until WOMEN all join together and more formally protest against men in women’s sports, this is just going to get worse and worse.
    – Is a man pretending to be a woman in the race?
    – – – All real women should sit out of the race.
    – Is a man pretending to be a woman in the Planet Fitness women’s locker room? But PF kicks out the one woman that complains?
    – – – ALL women members should go cancel their membership
