  1. Chuck Todd failed to ask this old dip shit why he vetoed a bill that would have required PG&E to clear cut underneath all their power lines. This was several years ago. It would have saved a lot of property and lives.

  2. Rural California should take a year off, planting and harvesting no crops, producing no eggs, milk or meat.
Let the geniuses figure it out.

I know it won’t happen, but as a group they could gain the upper hand. Shoot, a food producers strike might even slow the immigration issue.

  3. BB I thought ALL power lines in the
USA were clear cut ??? Every one I ever
saw was clear cut or close to it but I
have not been in Orange County since Mamma
    birthed me in ’54.

Apparently not anymore. I was listening to a local conservative radio talk show yesterday and learned about that bill there. There were also a lot of retired CalFire and Forestry people calling in and they illustrated how things had drastically changed and how Trump was right. PG&E is a big monopoly. I’m sure the Libtards bent over backwards for them to insure larger profits.

  7. @Bad Brad, where I live all the poles have been clear cut and a sterilizer weed killer around the poles. Clear cutting has been happening at the State Parks near me for the past 3 years – even burned them off 6 months ago before the Paradise fire. I’d like to know how PG&E is going to prevent people from shooting down their wires or weakening them so when the wind storm comes through, they will come down. I suspect this is what happened during the Camp fire.

We have 2 Indian casinos here and we do not pay the sales tax on the gas. Once people found out about it, both Indian gas stations have lines of cars waiting at the pump. Some time fists fights break out with people jocking for a pump. The gas tanker arrives everyday to fill up the tanks, that’s how fast they go through gas here.

Ain’t going to happen. Prove negligence. That’s like saying car manufacturers are getting sued for murder because someone got behind the wheel of one of their cars and killed someone. It’s BS, it ain’t going to happen.

  9. One more thing. Maybe the Board of Supervisors should be sued and held on murder charges. They were warned in 2008 about a fire coming through Paradise and refused to do anything about it. Here’s an eye opener article – or maybe not. People did not have renters insurance and many not even homeowners insurance. However, I bet many of them had big screen TV’s.

Here’s how Paradise ignored warnings and became a deathtrap

Meteorological records show 36 days since 2003 with gusts of 100 mph or more, and as high as 200 mph. Paradise sat in the path.

A Los Angeles Times investigation found that Paradise ignored repeated warnings of the risk its residents faced, crafted no plan to evacuate the area all at once, entrusted public alerts to a system vulnerable to fire, and did not sound citywide orders to flee even as a hail of fire rained down. I don’t think they are talking about power poles. I think they’re talking about the big towers that run the lines through the back country. Back in the 80’s we use to use those to get into back country for hunting. I haven’t hunted deer in California for over 15 years so I have no first hand knowledge as to whether they keep the ground below the towers and high tension lines clear cut anymore or not. According to the radio show I referenced above, they don’t. I’ve seen pictures of the suspected origin of the camp fire. It’s pretty brushy.

  11. The President who said in the ’82 SotU, “Govt will never solve our problems ….. GOVT IS OUR PROBLEM!”! coined the moniker “Moonbeam” in a meeting with Cal’s only other conservative Gov in 60 years Pete! Ronny clearly knew what was what!
    Govt still is our problem!
If only he had been cloned!
