March For Life, Today.

[…] At the 40th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision, we mourned the death in 2012 of Nellie Gray, the founder of the March for Life and the “Joan of Arc” of the pro-life movement. In October 1973, months after the Roe and Doe decisions, a group of thirty pro-life leaders gathered in Nellie’s home in Washington, D.C. to discuss how to commemorate the one-year anniversary of Roe. There was a fear that January 22 would pass as any other day rather than allow for a moment to reflect upon how legalized abortion had hurt women and taken babies’ lives over the course of the year. That was the day that plans for the first March for Life began– MarchForLife.org

  1. When I was in college I came up with a plan to troll the pro abortion fans who had been protesting our presence on campus.

Playing songs from my collection on a cassette tape that I put together. We cranked up the old ghetto blaster and just let it sink in what they were all about vs what we were all about.

I don’t know where the tape went, but it had such songs as:

Susan Raye – Pitty, Pitty, Patter https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=taZ4Ki2LKs4
The Harden Trio – Tippy Toeing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-0J4jSvRMCc

The result was that listening to these songs sent a half dozen of the ones who had been viciously attacking us, who evidence suggests may have had abortions and were wracked with guilt, into a tailspin that reduced three or four of them to a puddle of tears and landed a couple of them in the counseling center in hysterics. The Dean ask me to knock it off.

  2. My 19 year old recent hire took the day off to go to this. She and her mother each drove a carload of young adults up there yesterday evening. There is hope for the future…
