Pennsylvania: York College Photoshopped billboard to appear ‘diverse’

Breitbart-  Report: York College of Pennsylvania Used Photoshop to Appear More ‘Diverse’.

York College of Pennsylvania has been called out for Photoshopping an image on a promotional billboard in an attempt to “fix the problem” of lacking diversity. The school replaced two students in the photo with one Asian student, and one student who appeared to be Muslim.

Former student Karina Garcia, who had agreed to pose for the photo shoot, was dismayed upon realizing one year later that two of the students she had posed with were missing in the promotional advertisement for the school, according to Fox 43.

“I was confused, I was like what happened,” said Garcia, who said she went to the photographer to ask why the two original students had been replaced, “Why weren’t they there, that was my first question.”  more here

  1. I’d like to see people call this sort of crap RACISM!
It’s racist (in the current squishy usage) because the perpetrators are pushing FAKE race- and ethnicity-based images that conflict with the REAL images, meaning they are discriminating against the real people based on race/ethnicity, i.e. they are racists.

  2. You’re right Uncle Al but chances are the only person who is likely to be called racist would be the girl using her white privilege to lament the removal of her white privileged friends being removed from the picture.

  3. @Bobcat – you cite one of my favorite authors! And McDonald was a friend of my parents’ many years ago. They told me I met him once, but it was at a party and I don’t remember, which bugs the heck out of me.

  4. York college is no different than any other university. I took my kids to an art show there almost 20 years ago and the art was some African American Bad Female Children’s book illustrator. I left with my kids knowing then that the state of children’s literature was shite and whitey be responsible for all the bad things.
