WaEx: Former FBI general counsel James Baker testified to Congress last fall that he was told by two officials that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein said a pair of Cabinet officials was “ready to support” an effort to remove President Trump from office.
Addressing a joint task force of the House Judiciary and Oversight committees, Baker did not name the Cabinet officials. Baker did identify the two FBI officials who informed him of Rosenstein’s talk of invoking the 25th Amendment: Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe and former FBI lawyer Lisa Page, whose anti-Trump text message with ex-FBI agent Peter Strzok has fueled concern among GOP lawmakers that there is rampant bias in the FBI.
“I was being told by some combination of Andy McCabe and Lisa Page, that, in a conversation with the deputy attorney general, he had stated that he — this was what was related to me — that he had at least two members of the president’s Cabinet who were ready to support, I guess you would call it, an action under the 25th Amendment,” Baker said in a closed-door testimony, according to Fox News. more here
They were discussing amongst themselves a way to negate the results of the 2016 election by removing the elected Chief Executive, with whom they had policy disagreements, using a Constitutional mechanism never intended for that purpose.
IOW, they were conspiring to commit treason.
Something tells me that the POS Rex Tillerson was one of them. If so, he should be tried and sent to prison for the rest of his pathetic life. Trump was right to can his sorry ass.
@ Uncle Al: And the attempts at treason will continue until at least one of these arrogant traitors is indicted, arrested, tried, convicted and punished, preferably by death.
RINOs are as nasty as the (d)s
If I had to guess I would say Tillerson is one. I wouldn’t bet on the second.
Treason in high places.
(OK, it’s actually sedition but calling it treason is easier to understand for most people)
Hanging is too good for those involved in conspiracy to commit sedition, but it’s probably as close as we can get to what involvement in this calls for.
I’m not going to speculate on insider turncoats. I don’t think they exist, anyway. They are fake news, created to sow suspicion and doubt, just like that NYT anonymous editorial by a supposed WH insider. We will never know who these turncoat people are until we create them.
Oooh… Lemme guess… Sessions and Tillerson, the two biggest backstabbing assholes in his original cabinet, amirite?
President Trump has his hands full between the swamp and the nest of rats in DC.
Drag both Page and McCabe in front of a Senate Committee and demand the names of the two individuals. If they refuse find them in contempt and toss them in a DC Jail (the worst one you can find) until they give up that information. Then drag those named to the hill and ask them if what was testified to is true and demand the names of other conspirators. At the end you may not be able to charge them (although a good AG probably could) but at least the truth would come out that in the most democratic country in the world there was an attempted coup against a lawfully elected President and here are some of the ringleaders.
Not sure this would be considered treason since treason is during time of war you aid, abet and bring comfort to the enemy.
It should be the death sentence though.
Don’t care who.
I think they’re all guilty.
I have lots of rope and trees.
Just need the practice.
Willing to learn.
I’ve seen a Fbi class graduate at quantico, Before they graduate, they are given clown make up and a big red round nose and shoes.
