An Australian judge revoked bail for Cardinal George Pell, the most senior Catholic cleric convicted of child sexual abuse, sending him to prison Wednesday.
Victorian state County Court Chief Judge Peter Kidd announced he would deliver a sentence against the 77-year-old Pell, once the third most powerful man in the Vatican, on March 13.
Pell, who will remain in custody until then, faces a potential sentence of 50 years in prison for the five counts of historic child sex abuse crimes on which he has been convicted.
“I see this as callous, brazen offending — blatant,” Kidd said of Pell’s crimes, according to The Associated Press. “At the time, he thought he was going to get away with it. Otherwise he wouldn’t have done it.”
Protesters hurled insults at Pell outside the court, yelling, “I hope you burn in hell!” and “You’re a pedophile! You’re a criminal! You’re a monster!” according to the AP. Authorities took Pell from the court to Melbourne Assessment Prison, a maximum security facility, where Pell, like all new inmates, will be assessed. He will also be kept in protective custody in solitary confinement for all but one hour each day as he is a convicted pedophile.
“I hope you burn in hell!”

So much more to this tragic story…Cardinal Pell’s accusers are not credible. He is being punished over the Vatican banking scandal, not for abusing children. This trial was a way to get him to shut up. Whistle blowers receive this treatment, and worse. There are clerics rightly accused and convicted of child abuse, I do not defend them. There are also clerics who confront the hierarchy (aka the homosexual predatory network) and are punished. Cardinal Pell is in the latter group. He is one of the few trying to clean up the mess. Anyone covering this story from the inside would not write this Daily Caller screed.
They brought it on themselves by creating the crazy idea of priestly celibacy. It isn’t normal to suppress the sexual desires. Instead of having a happily married pastor they keep the idiotic idea of having a priest who allegedly never had sex.
Further, they claim they are the original church founded by Jesus, based upon misinterpretation of the passage regarding “… upon this rock …”
They claim Simon (a/k/a Peter) as their first pope, totally ignoring references to his mother in law.
Matthew 16:18: “ And so I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My Church, and the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it. “
I take My Lord and my Savior at His word, which is perfectly clear in this verse and one of the major reasons why I converted to the Catholic Faith. There are no arguments, no proof texts, no shaming, no name-calling which will shake my faith. Our Lord’s own words are stronger than any others.

That was not the Jew/Gentile Body of Christ, in which there are no such distinctions anymore, which is the only Church recognized by God today.

Of course not! When a plumber rapes a child, we read of “Plumber Sex Abuse”. When a mailman rapes a child, we read of “Postal Sex Abuse”. We never read of “Aristocratic Pædophile Ring Busted” (that’s for proles). Nor “Homosexual Sex Abuse” (that can’t happen). Anti-abortionists bad!
If I had kids today, they would never be allowed in any Church alone, especially a Catholic Church, nor would they be allowed to go to public school. It really pisses me off and all of these evil people shouldn’t get prison sentences they should be hung in front of the courthouse and left there to rot.
