HOUSE INTEL WITNESS FELIX SATER WAS PART OF LORETTA LYNCH’S SECRET DOCKET

DC: WASHINGTON—House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff intends to rely on testimony from former felon and Russian mobster Felix Sater during the committee’s investigation into President Trump’s finances and connection to Russia.

Sater’s name was brought into the 2015 confirmation hearing of former Attorney General Loretta Lynch when issues related to her previous office allegedly maintaining a secret docket of criminal informants arose, National Review reported at the time.

During her confirmation hearing, then Utah Republican Sen. Orrin Hatch asked her about why she allowed for self-admitted criminals, like Sater, to be released as a trade-off to become government informants.

He also asked why she allowed for these convicted felons to continue to commit crimes against innocent people.

Ultimately, Sater’s only punishment for pilfering $40 million was a $25,000 fine. According to National Review, the attorney who aided Sater in getting a lighter sentence was Leslie Caldwell,  Lynch’s former colleague in the U.S. Attorney’s Office.  Caldwell later went on to head up the Justice Department’s criminal divisionREAD MORE

  1. As soon as this guy hits the stand one of the GOP members accuses Schiff of suborning perjury. That’s what a Dem would do. Then demand answers as to whether Schiff every had any contact with the witness prior to his appearance and what ws the substance of those conversations. Then start asking Schiff about his relationship with Caldwell and Lynch. That ought to start the screaming.
