DiploMad2.0: OK. We’re starting to get a glimpse into the Mueller report which was turned over last Friday to AG Barr. The AG put out a tight, well-written summary of that report in a letter to Congressional leadership. Barr’s missive is not quite four pages long but contains a lot of information. Read it. Don’t be a journalist, read it. Now, of course, only a handful of people have seen the full report, well, if you don’t count the 13,567 Russian, Romanian, Chinese, Iranian, and Israeli hackers–and Julian Assange–who have it . . .
Let’s start with the least interesting stuff and move our way up the scale.
According to Barr, Mueller found that Russian intelligence services mounted an effort to meddle in our 2016 elections. This meddling, in its mildest version, took various forms, such as fake Twitter accounts, other internet postings by “Russian bots,” and some purchases of ads in social media. The object was “to sow social discord” with the hope of impacting the election in some unstated way. (Note: We know from other reports that the Russian effort seemed to work for and against both candidates.) The Russian intel effort also included a more severe version which involved hacking into computers and getting emails from Clinton staff and the DNC.
Obstruction of justice. Per Barr’s summary, the Special Counsel looked into actions by the President–most of them public–“as potentially raising obstruction of justice concerns.” The Special Counsel, however, declined to make a judgement one way or the other and left it up to the AG. In other words, Mueller didn’t have the goods but decided to smear Trump anyhow, even though he acknowledges there was no underlying crime. This is what I sorta predicted in my previous post,
[Mueller] might say, that well, he has no ability to go further with the investigation for this or that reason, and recommends handing off portions of it to other prosecutors. He might also go full reptile and state that there was collusion but it does not rise to the level of prosecution, but maybe Congress should consider impeachment, or any number of variations on that theme.
He, inserted in other words, a poison pill into the report in the hopes of causing the President political damage by giving Dems a means to continue their insane investigation/impeachment effort. Mueller, in highly technical legal jargon, went full reptile. This has led to headlines that the report “does not exonerate Trump!” What rubbish. That’s not the job of a prosecutor; a prosecutor does not convict or exonerate. He indicts and lets the courts do the rest. If he doesn’t have the goods to indict, he shuts up. Totally outrageous that a prosecutor smears an innocent person in this manner, not unlike what Comey did to Clinton in July 2016, and which this blog criticized (also here and here) (Note: There was one difference between what Comey did and what Mueller did: AG Lynch already had told the FBI and Bill Clinton that she would not prosecute Hillary Clinton.) The AG, rightly, has declined to pursue the matter.
Now the key portion: collusion.
Per Barr, Mueller quite directly states, “the Special Counsel’s investigation did not find that the Trump campaign or anyone associated with it conspired or coordinated with Russia in its efforts to influence the 2016 US presidential election.” Bam! Game. Over. Rug. Pulled. Out. From. Under. Dems. Adam Schiff please turn in your resignation letter.
Trump wins. America wins. The progs and their insane enablers and followers lose another one. The Russia Collusion story joins the Fake Narrative Club of Christine Blakely Ford, Jussie Smollet, Fast and Furious, Mattress Girl, UVA Rape Victim, Covington High School kids are racists, etc.
h/t forcibly deranged.
Time to go after obama and clinton.
Now.
OK. They tried to “kill the King” and missed.
Now the King is supposed to lop off the heads
of the guilty.
I just hope he gets on with it quickly as his
enemies will not stop unless he makes them.
The Russians plotted to sew discord among voters? I’ll buy that, but they can’t hold a candle to our own college professors and public school teachers.
The article mentioned several of the major players we are all familiar with – Comey, Clapper, Brennan,…, all the way up through Clinton to Obama. These players acted in a coordinated fashion in “Sedition – conduct or speech inciting people to rebel against the authority of a state” and “Treason – the crime of betraying one’s country, especially by attempting to kill the sovereign or overthrow the government” These are very serious crimes against the very fabric of our republic. Their prosecution needs to be much more serious than the usual Gowdy / Bengazi show hearings and the punishment needs to be much more serious than retirement or a few months in a luxury federal prison.
I want and expect Trump to destroy the deep state crime ring.
It was not so long ago that traitors in this country were hung by their necks until dead when found guilty.
Now we will find out if a former president can suffer that same fate or will his perma-sealed records that he paid millions for finally get to see the light of day because of this NEW investigation?
Mayhaps we might even begin to find out how the illegal alien muslim deep state plant barry barak had three different SS cards or how his grade-school photoshop job of his “birth certificate” was accepted as legitimate.
So very many scams that hussien obamma pulled off on the american people over 8 years would be null & void if the truth of his illegal alien status would be made public I really do not understand why President Trump has not issued an executive order “unsealing” barry’s hidden life from the bought and paid for judicial protection.
“The Russian intel effort also included a more severe version which involved hacking into computers and getting emails from Clinton staff and the DNC.”
Was this ever actually proven? Did the FBI ever actually verify hacking, or did they depend on Crowdstrike’s verdict? Seems to me that most of what happened to Dem computers was due to password idiocy and inside jobs with thumb drives.
And did you know that Wikileaks is a Russian front? I heard several smart mouths saying that recently.
The left reminds me more of a chicken with its head cutoff, still running around the barnyard flapping its wings.
I am just so happy, now, that Muellar stacked the ‘investigation’ with so many demoncrats. We need to remind the insane of that.
The actually guilty parties are hiding behind the swamp bogs. Trump should torch the swamp and get clean up the muck that still remains. Stop brushing it off as “okay they made a mistake”, it was a crime against Justice and America.
My guess it that this will just be the start of a new round of anti Trump hysteria among the Democrats and the Left that makes the last round seem mild and polite.
I would hope this would work well for Republicans in the coming elections by showing the Democrats up as the hate mongering fanatics most of them are, but they -the fanatics, both Democrat and Republican- may me larger in numbers than I think they are and it could energize the left to a larger extent than the right and bring them a narrow victory.
Time will tell.
As I said last week, it won’t matter what the Mueller report says. The Media is there to “interpret” it for us in order to keep pushing their agenda of tearing down everything Trump stands for, which by the way, is everything America stands for and heeeeeere’s yer proof! The bought and paid for Knee-Pad Media is the enemy within and must be dealt with!
Just a reminder that a month after the Kavanaugh confirmation atrocity, Dems were handed control of the House. Don’t expect outrage at the Mueller fiasco to have any effect on an election that is a year and a half away.
Old Mueller knew from the start that he wouldn’t find anything damaging to Trump so he wisely filled his ranks with democrat tools to deflect democrat yawls of favoritism, incompetence or cronyism at the preordained outcome. He expected that the Democrats, because of his huge cabal of democrat helper tools, would acquiesce when his report came out He sure don’t know Democrats do he!
Just waiting for the report to be put online!
