Trump: Health Care Reform Vote After GOP Win in 2020

Epoch Times: President Donald Trump said Republican health care reform will only come after the 2020 election when, the president assumed, the GOP will retake the House of Representatives and have enough votes to pass a replacement of the Affordable Care Act, also called Obamacare.

“Everybody agrees that ObamaCare doesn’t work. Premiums & deductibles are far too high—Really bad HealthCare!” Trump said in a series of tweets on April 1. “Even the Dems want to replace it, but with Medicare for all, which would cause 180 million Americans to lose their beloved private health insurance.”

He went on to say that “the Republicans are developing a really great HealthCare Plan with far lower premiums (cost) & deductibles than ObamaCare.”

“In other words it will be far less expensive & much more usable than ObamaCare,” he said. “Vote will be taken right after the Election when Republicans hold the Senate & win back the House.”  more here

    3 years behind schedule!
The RINOs and Never Trumpers NEVER HAD ANY INTENTION OF ENDING OBAMACARE!!!

I have ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT that more than a few eRepublicans and Paul Ryan specifically were working in the shadows with Democrats to scuttle any effort to end ObamaCare

  3. For the first 2 years of Trump’s presidency he had GOP majorities in both houses, GOP President and GOP controlled Congress, yet no repeal and replace and no comprehensive immigration reform. Many people, including myself, voted for him because he said he was a doer, a guy that would get things done. We knew back then that Obamacare did not work, was too expensive and too restrictive. Ditto with the porous border. These were the two signature legislative reforms that Trump ran on, and he did not get it done. Now we are told to wait until after the next election so that we can retake the House and get GOP majorities again because somehow he really means it this time.

  4. Congress is the one that has to do it, specifically the Republicans in Congress.

All that anti Obamacare talk you used to hear from Republicans during the Obama years was a sham (to put it politely) to keep their base supporting and reelecting them, they had no intention of actually getting rid of it.

And I see no political will to do that among the majority of them, and it would require all of them together to do it.

Trump can’t really do anything except encourage support for the bill (if there is one) and then sign it into law if it passes.

  5. I’m sure the new Republican Congress will get right on that. Just as soon as they do that big, beautiful, invader amnesty bill, the President’s been working on.

  6. If you haven’t yet taken the opportunity to hear POTUS Trump’s speech at the NRCC (CTH has it posted), you’ll be glad you did. In it he explains exactly what the plan is going forward into the next GE and mid-term cycles. Besides, he is very entertaining for nearly two hours!

And who is the Anonymous just above who is talking smack about POTUS Trump and an “invader amnesty”? Three thumbs up on that rot?
