’Emotional Disruption’: Youth Eco-Activists Cry After Failing to Stop Flights from Heathrow

BE: Youth members of eco-activist group Extinction Rebellion have cried after failing to stop flights at London’s Heathrow airport.

Media reports that some of the activists are as young as 13 years old, with the Metrowriting that a number of the teen protestors were crying was because they claimed to have been ‘threatened’ with arrest.

The green extremist group has held London hostage for the past week, bringing the city to a standstill in exchange for three demands: stopping all greenhouse gas emissions by 2025; the British government declaring a “climate and ecological emergency”; and for the overhaul of the Western democratic system by forcing government policy to be decided by a “Citizens’ Assembly on climate and ecological justice.”

Plans to protest at one of the world’s busiest airports were leaked on Thursday, after the far-left activists have been gluing themselves to vehicles, trains, and buildings all week.

Home Secretary Sajid Javid told police to use the “full force of the law,” with Scotland Yard saying they had “strong plans” to respond to any disruption to the travel plans of the 800,000 people planning to fly during the Bank Holiday weekend, with some quarter of a million people set to fly in and out of the airport on Good Friday alone.

Metropolitan Police Commissioner Cressida Dick said following a meeting with Mr Javid, “I totally condemn any protesters who are stepping outside the boundaries of the law.

“They have no right to cause misery for the millions of people who are trying to lead their daily lives. Unlawful behaviour will not be tolerated.

“I expect the police to take a firm stance and use the full force of the law. They have my full backing in doing so.”  more

  1. They shouldn’t have been threatened with arrest.

They should have just been arrested without any warning, they fully knew they were intentionally breaking the law and should have expected the consequences of illegal actions.

  2. So they want to play, do they. One warning then haul them up spread-eagle on the wall to be searched, cuffed and taken to the local station for booking. Charge them with whatever you can but ensure one charge sticks so that a record is created which is especially important for those 18+ who want to travel on holiday.
The cops should have been doing that all week.

  3. I agree with scr but it will never happen. There are groups which are immune to the law which is why they are USED so effectively. I say send them back to being chimney sweeps.

  4. stopping all greenhouse gas emissions by 2025

That would cause a tremendous drought, killing all humans and all animal life on the entire planet as the sun’s UV rays bake the landscape.

No scientist knows yet how to stop evaporation on the entire planet, but by golly there is “98% consensus” that water vapor (the number 1 greenhouse gas) is for sure going to kill us all.

Maybe someone needs to let them know that without greenhouse gas the planet is even more doomed in a much quicker fashion. We just need “98% of scientists” to let them know.

Funny, I wish an activist would glue themselves to my vehicle. They’d be in for one hell of a ride with a laughing driver.

  5. Who sent them? They went to an airport to block airplanes and annoy the shit out of people (possibly ruining a passenger’s life here and there) and then they start CRYING?! For what?! To make the cops look bad? Nah, I think they’re just scared little children who don’t know what some adults got them into. Some of those kids are old enough to know better.

The glue is a nice touch. I’m sure they were eating and sniffing it too.
