AT: What do a Minnesota congresswoman, a Dallas imam, and the New York Timesall have in common? In the past week all three have promoted the meme that Jesus was a Palestinian.
On April 19, an op-ed in the New York Times stated that “Jesus, born in Bethlehem, was most likely a Palestinian man with dark skin.” On April 20 Congresswoman Ilhan Omar retweeted Dallas imam Omar Suleiman’s argument that Jesus was “Palestinian,” not Jewish.
Such claims are part of a narrative that more and more seems to be insinuating itself into American political discourse. This narrative tends to paint both Jews and whites as inhuman oppressors and non-whites and Palestinians as their innocent victims.
According to this narrative, the Jews cannot have a history in the Middle East that goes back to the time of Jesus. If Jesus was a Jew living among Jews during the Roman Empire, then, Jewish ties to the land of Israel do go back to Roman times, and the claims of Israel to the land are legitimized. Therefore, Jesus must be deracinated, disconnected from his Jewish roots, and the Gospels must be cut off from their Jewish core. more
I can’t recall EVER reading a, “Gospel according to the mohammedans.” 🤨
Arius, the heretic, gave birth to mohammedanism. mohammed was stupid enough to believe him, and it went downhill from there. 😳
“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the state can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the state to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the state.”
Joseph Goebbels, Hitler’s Minister of Propaganda
And Mohammed was an illiterate, child molesting, sweetback con-artist who screwed an old lady to get to her goats.
What’s your point?
Oh, right. Gaslighting.
I am glad that I have eyes that can see and read for myself what I want to know. I don’t trust what anyone else decides for me what I should think, or believe. Especially academic theologians. The article posted also has a statement further on into it which is interesting:
“Such tactics are also being used in the United States to make white Americans lose confidence in themselves,
their history, and their rights as citizens. ”

Palestinians are Jewish? Who knew….
…this sounds a LOT like the “Black Liberation Theology” they taught in “Obama’s” “church”…
“”Black Liberation Theology refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the Black community. If God is not for us and against White people, then he is a murderer and we had better kill him (God). Black theology will accept only the love of God which participates in the destruction of the White enemy. ”

I’d like to chime in this..But I was too stoned
…but, wouldn’t “Rabbi” be an odd thing to call a Palestinian?

Oh fer Chrissake! Come on guys. lighten up. Omar and Suleiman are idiots.
Didn’t you know that Jesus was an only child and very spoiled. He lived at home ’till he died at age 33.
He lived with his Mom and Dad when he wasn’t galavanting around the country side, fishing and hob- nobbing with whoever would listen to him. (Many did)
He was a carpenter; a better one than Bernie Sanders, I’m sure. Had he lived, he would have become President of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America.
He also hung out with a bunch of guys, drinking ’till all hours. He was also handy with his fists. Ask the money lenders who he dropped out of the Temple.
Good soccer player too.
Jesus was Irish.
There was no Palestine then.
Besides, Jesus was a Jew, not an Arab.
Mohammed was the false prophet.
He drop kicked them out of the Temple.
God forgive me. I know He will. You see God has a sense of humor. He sent the Irish to all four corners of the Earth, then made the Earth round.
She sure does look like a Somali average 68 IQ critter.
(As revealed on iowt earlier today)
Palestine was the name given to the area by the Romans after they expelled the Judeans in 70 AD. It was the Romanized version of Filisteen … sound familiar? This is the name for Palestine in Semitic languages
In essence, the Romans renamed the area after the pagan inhabitants who were driven out by the Israelites — out of sheer spite, I’m sure. And, of course it retained this name until the Jews returned and re-established their ancestral state
So Jesus was a member of a group of people who hadn’t lived in the area for a thousand years/ Oh, I’m sure of it
No such thing as a Palestinian.
Just Bedouin Arabs who came to live in the place the Jews made habitable again
They drained the swamps, they planted trees, they dug irrigation canals.
The Jews took care of the land the Arabs abandoned.
Jesus was a Jew
Omar is a low IQ individual
Those professional refugees, those loose Arabs need to drink a nice cup of shut the hell up
Swamp Fox, you would be arrested and jailed in Germany for even suggesting such an idea, because in court, the judge would rule that you were speaking the truth about the Greatest Story Ever Sold. That truth is NEVER a defense in a German court no matter how factual. I don’t think it has gotten that bad yet in the USA courts.
Mickey Moussauui. I heard a story years ago of an Israeli Diplomat addressing the United Nations on the Palestine question. He started with a joke
He said, back in (some year) a Rabbi decided to bathe in a river. He removed his clothing and placed them on a rock. He bathed for a while and when he returned to the rock, his clothes were missing, stolen, he assumed, by a Palestinian.
Immediately the Palestinian Diplomat objected: There were no Palestinians back then, he shouted.
To which the Israeli Diplomat responded: Now that we’ve cleared that up. Let’s proceed.
Love it.
Let’s see–who do I believe, Omar and the NYT or the Bible? What a dilemma.
