Almost three years ago, I compared the Never Trumpers to those Japanese soldiers lost for decades on remote islands who didn’t know World War Two had ended.
And apparently, those Never Trumpers are still wandering on a remote island somewhere. Because once again they’ve decided to launch a futile challenge against Donald Trump.
I saw this tweet from Jack Posobiec and the first thing I thought was “good grief, not again.”

Look assholes: I have cast my last vote for an eRepublican. Never again will I even consider a vote for one of your losers. It took me a while to learn my lesson that even when eRepublicans win with the support of Constitutional conservatives, who couldn’t have won without that support, they forget they know you as soon as your ballot has been cast.
Romney isn’t just an eRepublican, he’s their spiritual leader and the heir apparent to the McCain legacy.

A distinction should be made between Never-Trumpers pre and post 2016.
The majority of NTers before the election saw Trump as the guy who was once a raging Democrat, a guy who spooned with the Clintons, a guy who backed several dem candidates, a guy who was for universal healthcare and the confiscation of guns, a guy who was hypocritical in his hiring practices and a guy would had the morals of a pig. Although unsympathetic in the face of the alternative, I never thought their motives were evil, just misplaced.
Fast forward to today; you would have to be a raving lunatic to call yourself right thinking and still be a NTer. Trump has checked almost every box on Reagan’s checklist for upholding conservative values. And to be fair, many of those NTers before have found religion, were pleasantly surprised at how good a job Trump has done and will most likely vote for the man in 2020.
Although I can see Mitt donning his halo, thinking he must save the country, Sasse does not suffer from such illusions, is more measured/circumspect, and has been a supporter of Trump.
The media will try to force someone like Mitt on the ticket.

It is a hard read but he shows that Teddy – not the guy libes refere to “Rocky” as libs have said the last 50 yers- was the original NeoCon. It took me 3 tries over 50 years to get through this book. did not get done til the far left GWB got elected; so I admit it is not well written- BUT IF YOU are a conservative, it is a must read; hard as it is!
