DC: Amazon encountered public backlash in India Thursday because certain items featuring images of Hindu gods were being sold on the site.
Thousands of Indian Twitter users used the hashtag #BoycottAmazon and called for a full boycott of the company following the discovery of items such as toilet seat covers, shoes and rugs with Hindu gods on them being sold over the website. 3 times I’ve not gotten items I ordered from amazon. I called and complained and they sent out “replacements.” Then billed me because i didn’t “return” the missing items!!! So I got billed for what I didn’t get. They’re dumber than a warehouse of rocks. I’ve cut my orders in half. If I could buy elsewhere I would.
…well, thank God the easily offended Indians have brick-and-mortar stores they can go to…
