‘Paper drink box water bottle’: Trudeau struggles to explain how he cut back on plastics

American Mirror: Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau wants his fellow countrymen to drastically reduce plastic waste and do their part in his campaign for “A Cleaner Future.”

But when pressed on what, exactly, the Trudeau family does to make things better for the environment, the young liberal politician gets a little tongue tied.

The question was simple: “What do you and your family do to cut back on plastics?” a reporter asked at a Monday press conference.

Trudeau, standing before a picturesque lake, struggled to come up with a clear answer.

“We have recently switched to drinking water bottles out of, uh water, when we have water bottles, out of a plastic … sorry, away from plastic towards paper drink box water bottle sort of things,” the prime minister said.

Folks online aren’t buying it.

    HOW SAD IS IT THAT WE WILL HAVE TO COME TO CANADA’S RESCUE WHEN THE BALLOON GOES UP. ONLY TO HAVE THEM RETURN TO THEIR PUSSIFIED, NEUTERED WAYS AFTER??!!

    WE HAVE NO FRIENDS TO THE SOUTH OR NORTH….BUT WORRY NOT, WE’LL SAVE YOUR DUMB ASSES!!

  9. It’s simple – if you really, seriously care about something then you know all about it and can immediately explain in detail what you are doing about it. Which is why I always ask my friends what they personally are doing when they say stuff like ‘environment!’ and ‘global warming climate change!’. And like Justin they have no response.

  19. So let’s cut down more trees to make more paper boxes, which is what we started using plastics for in the first place – to NOT cut down more trees!

  20. Hi MJA – I am Canadian but hopefully not for long. I am from western Canada (the producers) and after the federal election in October, I am truly hoping that Alberta and Saskatchewan declare a UDI (Unilateral Declaration of Independence). Based on Quebec’s position in 1995, these 2 provinces will only need 50% plus 1 to secede from Canada.
    I used to be a proud Canadian but in the past 20 years, I have become “so disgusted” with the ROC (rest of Canada).
