Mitt Romney, On Track to Being Worse For GOP Than John McCain

The Lid: Although not from the same state, John McCain has a true successor in the U.S. Senate–Mitt Romney.

In his last few terms, before he died, Sen. John McCain became a net negative for the country. Or to put it more plainly he was anti-conservative and an a-hole.  Besides going back on his promise to push for a border wall, McCain became divisive and attacked his fellow Republicans more than the opposition party. Instead of trying to work with a people’s movement McCain especially hated the Tea Party or anyone associated with the Tea Party, like Sens Rand Paul and Ted Cruz for example. Despite the fact  Sarah Palin sacrificed her career and worked her butt off to get him elected President, McCain stabbed her in the back on his deathbed. He lamented that he shouldn’t have picked her as his V.P. By his own admission, McCain was FBI’s source for the anti-Trump dossier and when planning out his funeral demanded that the president stay away from his funeral. And as one of his last acts in the U.S. Senate McCain screwed both his party and his country with his last-minute decision to vote no on the plan to repeal and replace Obamacare.

But thus far, Utah Sen. Mitt Romney in on track to be worse than McCain as he clearly seeks to be the “new” Senate GOP designated anti-conservative a-hole.

Five short months in the U.S. Senate, Romney has already racked up a record as traitorous to the conservative cause as McCain and reminded conservatives why they voted GOP while holding their noses in both 2008 and 2012. read more

  1. “…paging Mr. Tumor, Mr. Brain Tumor…please meet your party at the Senate Office Building…”

…is it possible to give the Medal of Freedom to a malignancy? It spared us of Teddy K and Songbird MC when no one ELSE could, so if it gets the trifecta with THIS guy, we’d owe it BIG time…

…one wonders if they become liberals due to brain damage from the tumors, or if liberalism CAUSES the corruption in the DNA that gives rise to it, but either way, God bless it for sending these traitors to a not-soon-enough end, and one more would be GREAT, just sayin’…

  2. This ‘Two Face Romney’ IS ART. Very Escher like. Or Ying/Yang. Very scary!

I voted for that prick to prevent the Marxist from getting in. Same for McCain and look what we got??

Then WE voted for DJT and LOOK at what WE got!

    Breath Deep.

  3. Romney is so like McCain because they are/were both bitter old men who shared grandiose visions of the presidency, and both lost in large degree by their own incompetence. And they both revile Trump with the heat of a thousand suns, he did what they could not and it festers like a ravenous virus.

  4. Mittens will have to forever carry the shame that he lost to a moron like obama.

The guy is completely jealous of Trump. He belongs in the same trash heap as mccain.

  5. The rule–or amendment, if you will–should be that once you run for President, and lose, you may never run for, or hold, a lower federal office ever. Again.

  6. I know POTUS Trump has nothing but public praise for RNC head, Ronna McDaniel, but if the state parties are any indicator of the health of the GOP, then we NEED to part company and start a Trumpian party. The RNC is infested from top to bottom by people just like Romney, and they are that way because either they really don’t care about how well we do in elections or they’re quietly anti-Trump. Here in Washington, for example, the big name in politics is a former Seattle news anchor named Susan Hutchinson. She’s their candidate of choice because . . . well, who really knows why — or cares. She just is. But she’s made no commitment whatsoever to Trump’s agenda.

We must break away from the old GOP in order to KAG.

  7. Romney is the replacement for McStain as the republican heretic. He’s adopted the most loathsome characteristics of what most decent people find repulsive in a politician and wears it with a contemptuous arrogance.

Because I have been a conservative for over 69 years I did not for for either of the liberals you voted for. I also did not vote for the lib that beat ’em – But i am sure he was a much better President – bad as he was, almost as harmful to America as the man he follower to 1600 – than either of them would have been.

to say RomneyCare’s creator is worse than Keating 5 progressive to me is not right! RomneyCare is bad! but it has been over 59 years since a man ran for Pres who was to the left of Johnny!
IMHO left is bad, Why the only GP that got my vote from 92 to ’16 was GWB in ‘o4 and that was A VOTE AGAINST JFK; NOT A VOTE FOR A LIB! there is a real diff between voting for a liberal liar and voting against a man who slandered me + my buds!

  9. Like in Europe, both party’s people come from the same neighborhoods, schools, country clubs, and families. To paraphrase Colossus, “choice is an illusion.”

Back before he had secured the nomination, I sent a letter to the RNC stating that if McCain was their guy, they would never get another dollar from me. I have kept my word.

  10. Such a bitter pathetic man. You’d think a very wealthy man in his 70s with such a large family and alleged religious commitment would have better things to do with his remaining years than be a pain in the A$$ and destroy whatever was left of his reputation, family name and character.

  11. Anybody with an ounce of brains could see it coming. First of all he loses the race to Obama in 16. Then he turns carpet bagger and poaches the Utah Senate seat from a REAL Utah resident begs PRESIDENT TRUMP (which galls the hell out of him) for an endorsement. Gets it and start working against PRESIDENT TRUMP like McCain on steroids and won’t change his party Affiliation to demon(RAT) because he thinks he has a chance in the 2024 presidential election.
