Georgia police officer dragged along freeway

KFI:

This type of story just happened the other day, when a woman was pulled over for broken tail light and takes off instead of just signing the $80 ticket. This time, it was way more dangerous.

A Dunwoody, Georgia police officer is recovering from surprisingly minor injuries after a driver sped away from a traffic stop, dragging the officer as he dangled out the window. The suspect apparently was trying to lose the officer, so he kept ramming his vehicle up against other cars at full speed.

  1. How is this even possible?
According to the 2020 democrat nominees, the 1994 crime bill put nothing but innocent blacks in jail for decades.
Not a single white person was incarcerated and blacks were put in jail for simply walking down the street.

This story must be fake news!

  2. Suspect the cop is originally from the hood, street wise and tough. He does seem to like the limelight a bit too much.
Anyway, glad he survived. That was harrowing. The perp should be charged with attempted murder.

  3. Just down the road from me. That cop needs to move up the road to Milton. Officer Daley, don’t be fooled by the glittering glass towers you saw as you were dragged down 285. Dunwoody is getting shit-holey.

  4. “… a woman was pulled over for broken tail light and takes off …”

But in the story, it was a GUY driving the car. What happened to the woman? And why didn’t the cop just let go when he/she took off? I guess journalism schools only teach “orange man bad” these days.

  5. Tony R, it was SSDD.

“This type of story just happened the other day, when a woman was pulled over for broken tail light and takes off…”

Personally, I would not have led the story with a similar previous story, but that’s just me. I don’t know why journos write the way they do nowadays, but for “communications” professionals, they sure don’t communicate very well.

  6. …this ain’t no joke. We lost a Police Officer a few years back like this. A 12 year old went out joyriding. Officer Kevin Crayon tried to stop him. He made the mistake of reaching in to get the keys with the boy still in there, and it was the LAST mistake he ever made.

You NEVER do that. This is WHY.

As he was being dragged to his death, he made a desparate attempt to save his own life with the last tool available to him.

    He shot the boy.

    Dead.

    Didn’t help. He died anyway.

The only “good” thing, for the community, anyway, was that the officer was as Black as the child he shot.

I shudder to think how many would have been beaten and killed had it been otherwise.

Although we ended up with riots the next year anyway, it was not for that reason. Not alone, at any rate.

God Bless our LEOs. You just never know…

  7. Any cop who is stupid enough to jump into the window of a car that he knows is going to flee deserves to be dragged. It’s just too easy to catch the perp later without risking his life. And another thing, what is it with the practice of cops jumping into the path of a car as it begins to flee so that they can use the old “I feared for my life” routine just before they do a magazine dump through the windshield? I’m all for capturing people who attempt to flee, but some cops are just too eager to kill people for it when there is usually a better alternative. I just saw a video of a cop who obviously stepped in front of a car that was barely moving just before he sprayed all of his rounds through the windshield and it was for a minor offense. It seemed as if he just wanted to kill someone that day. Some people just shouldn’t be cops.
