How The Army Tried To Avoid Telling The Truth About Women In Ranger Training

This Ain’t Hell:

Skippy via Ex-PH2 sends us an article describing how Big Army and those with agendas lowered the Ranger training bar for female Ranger candidates. This is second in a two part series- the first part covers the grueling training regime Ranger candidates must endure to qualify, and how this was eased for the women. The second part describes how Big Army goes into damage control mode to cover up the training discrepancies between men and women. read more

  1. wouldn’t it be easier to order a ranger to self identify as a woman and then they have a female ranger on the books, the standards are intact and everyone is happy.

  2. Politically correct General Officers doing what’s right for their careers rather than what’s right for the Army and country.

When I went through jump school, at Ft Benning you had to do a minimum 7 pullups, open grip, on a rolling bar, from a hanging position. No females were there in my day. I’m curious to know if that’s the current standard and how the hell are women able to do it as it requires very good upper body strength.

Back in the dim & misty I also completed SFQC. Can’t wait for the girls to be assigned to SF ODAs. Yeah, that’ll work.

  3. Pretty odd how the Department of Defense can’t defend this bad decision. Are they worried now that our enemies will think the Army barbaric and sub-human because there aren’t enough female Rangers?

  4. The Navy did this with “female” submariners in the 80-s and 90-s as well. I have heard rumors of a sub sinking because they didn’t know how to go down the right way!

  5. Another assault on the high standards that have served our country well. Political pressure has reduced those standards to mediocre accomplishments thereby erasing the purpose.
It’s all part of the insidious and creeping erosion of our way of life.

  6. Since the immoral pols and brass pushed the lie:
The only thing to if they fail in combat because
they demanded to be Rangers, backed only
by their inability to actually meet standards,
is to let them suffer the consequences of their acts.
Don’t let the mission fail or others die for
    them when the fighting starts.

  7. In a particular battle in northern Italy during WWII after being placed in a “quiet” sector, a certain Regiment broke and fled, leaving all their equipment – one dead, four wounded, and the remainder in panicked flight.

    They weren’t women.

The Army (United States Army) covered it up and sacked the officers.
Never let reality get in the way of the Army.

  8. This should not surprise anyone. When Democrats serve on the various congressional armed services committees, an attempt to social engineer and instill a hierarchy of diversity is at the forefront of their thinking.

I saw it for myself firsthand, both in the military and in various police academies; special privileges granted to females, standards reduced and in some instances totally eliminated in critical skills like driving and firearms training, physical requirements and writing skills are thrown right out the window.

Commanders don’t like it but are told to shut up and obey orders. Fellow trainees don’t like it, making a mockery of their preparation and abilities. Moral and platoon cohesion is essential for maintaining a superior fighting force, these are diminished when special accommodations are made and standards are weakened.

  9. I would never advise a young man to join the military for two reasons: Why fight and die for Democrats and females are allowed to serve(?) in the combat arms (the two reasons don’t include female grade officers, but should)!

  10. The real issue is missions will fail and real Rangers will die protecting the women on the battlefield. Men will act irrationally to protect them since we are hard-wired to do so.

  11. First, I would like to say Thank You to all who put on the uniform and risk dying to protect me and the rest of our great country.
I am a little torn on women in the military, for all of the reasons that many have said in the past. However, lowering the standards? No. They must be held to the same standards. They have the same job. Others rely on them and their lives depend on their training and abilities. Our country depends on their abilities.

  12. Pretending that women, on average, are the physical equals of men in regards to strength, speed, and stamina may work well for selling books, TV shows, and movies, but it’s really fucking stupid, dangerous, and unjust when attempted to be applied to reality.

Frankly, is there anything dumber than watching some actress who likely weighs less than 100 lbs “fighting” some dude who is literally twice her size? In real life, such a fight would last all of two seconds, ending with her on the floor with a skull fracture.

  13. I got a daughter-in-law who is an athletic phenom. Heavily recruited into and then top of her class at Annapolis, 5’11”, 50-mile super-marathoner, captain of the fencing team, 90+ pushups in 2 minutes, etc. But: she stands next to her husband (Apache pilot, SO) and looks like a delicate flower.

Desperate to find “women who can”, the Navy tried to push her into Marine infantry. She wisely didn’t. Then they campaigned for her to go nuclear SWO… She did, and it was misery for a normal 23-year-old girl. Now she’s out, and writing children’s books.

Can we stop with the wish-I-coulda woulda fantasies of the dykes in the Pentagon? Can we stop with the horseshit?

  14. Why not have a special division of Ranger Girl Scouts. Assign these ladies to combat duties, they will get themselves and others killed. That will not be good for them or the Army .The basic problem is women are nor men, they have seperate divisions for men and women. Combat does not have seperate divisions, send your best or send nobody,

  15. I know a USMC very senior NCO – with extensive combat experience in the sand. He told me that 50%+- of female Marines he knows of and trained are, shall we delicately say, “confused” about the proper sexual partners they prefer. He added that, in his opinion, 90% will fail in real combat – to the cost of their male colleagues. I trust him. He IS the real deal!
