Netflix project ‘Chasing Hillary’ has bevy of alternate title suggestions

BPR:

Netflix seems to be on a mission lately to alienate conservative subscribers.

On top of their producing partnership with the Obamas, the streaming giant is now reportedly producing a show about one of the least interesting topics in the world: Hillary Clinton’s lifeless attempts to win the presidency.

The show will be based on the book “Chasing Hillary: Ten Years, Two Presidential Campaigns and One Intact Glass Ceiling,” which was authored by Amy Chozick. Netflix won the rights to the book in a pricey bidding war.

Despite being based around Hillary Clinton, the story will reportedly not have the failed presidential candidate as its main character.

“Unlike the book, the series will chronicle four female journalists who follow the every move of a parade of flawed presidential candidates, finding friendship, love and a scandal that could take down not just the presidency but our entire democracy along the way,” writes The Hollywood Reporter. “Sources say that while the series is inspired by Chasing Hillary, the Netflix offering is not about Hillary Clinton or the 2016 U.S. presidential election.”

Great. So it sounds like if you take “Sex and City” and deprive it of fun and fashion, it will be this show. more

  1. I’m sorry, “Chasing”? That word implies high speed, unless you’re OJ in the white Bronco.

Let’s give this show a realistic name. Like, “Tongue bathing Hillary” or “Years and years of liberal tears” or “Still on the outside, looking in” or “Jilted by everyone, including Bill”.

The optional titles are endless. “It sucks to be Hillary”. Or? “I’ll tell you what difference it made. You’ll never be President”. “Madam Secretary” didn’t work.

    Stop, PH. Just STOP.

“…pricey bidding war” for the screenplay of a book that went straight to the 98-cent Bargain Books bin?

Don’t forget, the Obamas hate the Clintons, so this might be a hatchet job.

  3. I have subscribe to Netflix for at least a decade. Started with mailed DVDs, what a library! I then added the streaming version. At age 75 I’m about to drop the streaming version. There is very little content there that appeals to a senior citizen. I understand I way out of their target audience. Television, in general, is not for old farts. Poor writing, poor actors, poor production. Assembly line crap.
