The National Rifle Association filed suit Monday against the city of San Francisco in response to city’s board of supervisors labeling the gun-rights group a “domestic terrorist organization.”
The suit — filed in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against the city and county of San Francisco, as well as the board of supervisors — claims the city violated the gun lobby’s first amendment rights by seeking to prevent any individuals or entities associated with it from doing business in San Francisco.
“This lawsuit comes with a message to those who attack the NRA: we will never stop fighting for our law-abiding members and their constitutional freedoms,” NRA CEO and executive vice president Wayne LaPierre said in a statement shared with the Washington Post. more here .

Why so hush, hush? This should have been breaking national news when it happened. This was a major blow to freedom. Where’s the republicans? Where are the street protests, the marches?
if the nra doesn’t like it then nancy, gavin, and lil chuck will send their army of drug addled street urchins over to shit on their sidewalks.
Hot tip: if you march in San Francisco be sure to wear closed-toe shoes without any holes in them – and which you are willing to throw away immediately afterward since you don’t want to spend hours cleaning the crap off the soles.
Here’s hoping they get a honest Judge who rules on the merits and not the current political atmosphere. If the NRA wins it will badly hurt the San Fran legislators who I suspect are losing support even among the Silicon Valley millennials who are getting tired of the crap in the streets spoiling their view. Get a big settlement and services already stretched get worse and soon you have an environment where conservatives may have a chance run the joint.

…I share your hope, @scr_north, I just have absolutely NO empirical evidence to support it…and, sorry, you just about KILLED me with the “Honest” part, not sure what an “Honest” judge is, haven’t even heard those words together in one place since 2008 so it seems like a bit of an oxymoron now…
…They need to sue them INDIVIDUALLY, too. While the taxpayers will foot the lawyer bill AND the taxpayers paid for full-ride executive lawsuit insurance on them, at LEAST make them stand up in COURT and spout their lunatic theories so you can use them for campaign commercials and fundraising…
How about topping that off with 4 million+ individual
members filing a class action suite against SF for defamation of character?

The more this costs the Taxpayers of that shithole city, the better I like it. They need to pay until they scream “uncle” for voting these lunatics into office. F them.
Maybe even ave a members class action suit for defamation against the city and the council members individually!
