El Salvador President Nayib Bukele was seemingly unaffected by the political furor stoked by the recent phone call between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, instead dismissing the controversy as “silly” and a waste of time.
During a Thursday interview with Fox News host Martha MacCallum, Bukele covered a wide range of topics, but closed the interview with a question regarding the impeachment inquiry that has recently roiled the United States.
“I think it’s silly,” Bukele replied when MacCallum broached the subject. “I’m not going to get into U.S. politics, because I can’t. But actually, I think most people outside don’t even care about that. So I think you’re just wasting our time talking about something that nobody cares about.” more here
