The Latest NYT Bombshell is Yet Another Dud

Dan Bongino:

The latest New York Times “bombshell” report is yet another dud, as their supposed revelation has essentially been public since May. They’re reporting that “President Trump pushed the Australian prime minister during a recent telephone call to help Attorney General William P. Barr gather information for a Justice Department inquiry that Mr. Trump hopes will discredit the Mueller investigation, according to two American officials with knowledge of the call.”

The Times is attempting to push the narrative that this is comparable to Trump’s call with Ukraine’s President, which has led to an impeachment inquiry that will inevitably fail. “Like the call with the Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky, the discussion with Prime Minister Scott Morrison of Australia shows President Trump using high-level diplomacy to advance his personal political interests” they write.

Breaking News: President Trump pushed Australia’s prime minister to help Attorney General William Barr in an investigation intended to rebut the Mueller inquiry https://nyti.ms/2n2wgs3

Little detail was given regarding the actual contents of the call, we’re only told by the Times that “In making the request, Mr. Trump was in effect asking the Australian government to investigate itself.” Regardless, it’s hardly surprising that Trump spoke with Australia’s prime minister regarding the DOJ’s investigation into the intelligence community’s misconduct in the 2016 election because Trump himself said to reporters in May that he hoped Barr would “look at the UK and I hope he looks at Australia and I hope he looks at Ukraine. I hope he looks at everything, because there was a hoax that was perpetrated on our country.”

  1. So asking for investigations into illegal activities is an impeachable offence now. Of course it is. We can’t risk sending deserving Swamp dwellers to prison now, can we?

  2. Investigating Democrat corruption is an impeachable offense.

Defending yourself from Democrat corruption is an impeachable offense.

Doing exactly what Democrats have done is an impeachable offense if you are not a Democrat because you have appropriated their culture of corruption.

  3. So advancing President Trump’s personal and political agenda is bad? Isn’t that why we elect the person to the job to do after we carefully search his/her character, ideology, and values in performance toward our expectations? Why is this bad?

Isn’t that exactly why the left progressive roller coaster wanted to elect a no nothing, hidden transcripts and citizenship in doubt a-hole to the oval office with a transgender w(ife)oman? Why couldn’t we judge him and hold him to the standards they want to hold to Trump?

    O he’s conservative? I see

  4. We really need to get to the root of who’s funding all this nefarious, preposterous propaganda, by all the Networks who can’t get 10 dollars for 30 seconds of advertising and “newspapers” I wouldn’t wrap a fish in!
    It ain’t just George Soros!

  5. Any search for truth works against democrats’ election prospects. For instance, we can agree that water is wet, until President Trump ends a press gaggle because it’s raining and everyone is getting wet. The next day the entire enemydia will proclaim, in the exact same words, that Trump dodged hard questions by using the ridiculous argument that water is wet! Then would come the scientists to explain that water is not actually wet.

Truth is an anathema for them; absolutely anything truthful.
