“Jerry” or “Sophie” at the help center put them on hold….
They must have been using Windows and left it open….
Daaaaammm…
That’s just awful to lose your young bride and her young siblings. Awful.
Never underestimate the power of swift moving water. You are not a fish or a duck.
Culling of the herd
I’m ok with that.
Four members of the same family drowned during a trip to the Pambar dam in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu.
Over 250 people have died while attempting to take selfies since 2011.
After 8 years, maybe a sign stating ‘koee selphee nahin’,
“No Selfies” would help?
New cell phone slogan! Learn how you can memorialize your last moments alive!
I wonder if they got any good “Safety tip” photos that can be recovered to help promote selfie caution warnings about dumb ideas.
Karma? They must’ve been cruel to garden slugs or something in a former life. Now they get another shot at moving up the Hindu virtue ladder.
I do have huge sympathy for the survivors, though, unless they believe it was karma, too.
Their theme song should be Three Little Fishes by The Andrews Sisters or in their case The Four Little Indians Who Fell Off Of The Dam. 3 Little Fishes was one of my mom’s favorite songs growing up and she sang it to us as kids growing up in the 50’s and 60’s. And they fell, fell, fell over and over into the dam. Oh Dam!
Bet they won’t do that again..
geoff the aardvark; Not many, I think, left that can recall that tune…I think I have it on my mp3 player along with “Running Bear”. It fits the incident..
Steve Jobs never imagined that his iPhone would be at the center of so many tragedies and stupidities-or maybe he did. Evil capitalist! 😉
Perry. Running Bear and his Indian girl friend who lived across the river also drowned trying to meet each other in the middle of a raging river. That song is still played occasionally on XM’s 50’s on 5 channel.
Well, OSHA can’t be everywhere.
Do they even have safety regulations in India? Or is that just a western thing?
The Apocalypse of St. John (The Book of Revelation) describes the earth being destroyed by fire… but I swear SOMEDAYS, it seems it’ll be destroyed by dumbas-… I mean, “smart”… phones… 🙄
They should play “Take me to the river”-Talking Heads at their funerals.

YELLOWSTONE
There is that giant waterfall at the main gate, and just around the corner, a person went over the wooden rail to take a photo of them pretending to fall off the edge, but then they actually did and died.
My god….
Mr. Darwin gets around, doesn’t he?
I live in a van…..Down by the RIVER!!!
Tragic, certainly, but did they recover the pics?
