I always wondered why that zombie just didnt start eating Johnny right on the spot. I would’ve!

Just saw beginning the other day–he’s breaking Barbara’s car windows and just in time she puts it in neutral and coasts downhill until she hits a tree–gets out to run and loses shoe, keeps going. .. . sees the farmhouse across a field. . . it is hard to stop watching

great classic … first saw it at the Queens Chapel Drive-In in 1970 (I think)
despite the cheesiness & the over-the-top hokey music (that just added to the flavor, IYKWIM), the storyline has the authenticity of human interaction in a totally illogical situation
… such as the one we are facing w/ the de’rats today

Good horror requires the suspension of disbelief.

Now, if that had been The President of The United States, I’d have kept watching.
I just KNEW a zombie apocalypse would happen!
Looks like I was plenty prepared for last night. Didn’t even have to change magazines. Got 15 zombies right in the noggins. All that money on night vision scopes paid off !
Weird that they were all real short and had candy on them. Didn’t expect that part, but whatever.
Can’t wait for all the accolades I’ll get from everyone for saving the neighborhood single-handedly.

Fur once pointed out that it turned out that Mr Cooper was right about the basement being the safest place. Lol

If I recall the last line of the movie from the sheriff, after the black hero of the story was killed, went something like: “Throw it on the pile, burn ’em up”.
A friend of mine exclaimed: “That’s a deep political statement”.
But is has been 30 years or so since I’ve watched it, so I may not be remembering it correctly.
