Numerous record low temperatures by early Wednesday
WUWT:
Overview
The strong cold front representing the leading edge of a widespread Arctic air mass passed through the DC-to-Philly-to-NYC corridor early this morning and temperatures have fallen into the 30’s from early day highs. Precipitation is being enhanced in the cold air behind the front as a strong jet streak aloft generates upward motion in the I-95 corridor. As a result, a changeover to snow is likely during the mid-day and early afternoon hours in the immediate DC-to-Philly-to-NYC corridor and this changeover to snow is likely all the way to coastal New Jersey and Delmarva. Some spots could receive small snow accumulations and as temperatures drop to near freezing later in the day, watch for the possibility of “black ice” on some roadways. Precipitation winds down later today and the cold will become the main story with record low temperatures in numerous Mid-Atlantic/NE US locations by early tomorrow. Widespread records were set earlier today from Texas to the Great Lakes with some stations recording their lowest temperature ever for the month of November and we are not even at the halfway point. read more
Whew…..Just imagine how bad it would be if it weren’t for global warming.
How is it the polar cap is melting, yet thousands of miles south my piss freezes before it hits the ground…. More than a month before official winter! I’m just now beginning to think this whole global warming thing is fake news. Apparently I’m going to have to actually move to a warmer climate for retirement instead of it coming to me.
OK, it’s winter. It’s cold.
Medieval peasants used to think a comet in the sky signified the end of the world. Now liberals think a strong cold front does the same. Just imagine how surprised they’ll be when the shooting starts.
OK, it’s winter. It’s (fuckin’)cold.
I went hunting this afternoon. I saw a nice buck but I had my 12 gauge blaster and the distance was a bit too far. I’ll have my 30-06 rifle “Black Betty” next time. It got pretty darn cold out there.
The cold the past couple days doesn’t bother me. The foot of snow we got monday, that’s a different story.
22 this morning its a heat wave, warmer than yesterday. Car doors frozen shut here in snowy, cloudy upstate NY. Hate to think how cold would be if not for global warming. Forecast…colder. I’m getting ready for winter to arrive…stacking wood, shoveling snow with one arm is a challenge, rotator cup surgery still mending.
damn global warming
now I am freezing
I wish it would make up it’s mind
The earth will end its days as a flaming ball of ice.
25 here this morning in the coastal pines, might turn the heat on now that the windows are closed.
14 this morning in Southwestern PA. Me and the pups are cozy inside. It’s winter. Nothing to fret about.
Different Tim we got about 31 centimeters of the fluffy stuff in Sarnia.
