What did Trump-loathing CNN mean by releasing this story?
American Spectator:
An FBI lawyer since separated from the bureau faces a criminal investigation for altering a document relating to obtaining the Foreign Intelligence Service Act (FISA) Court warrant to surveil Donald Trump campaign aide Carter Page, CNN reports.
The lawyer allegedly admitted making the change to investigators for Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz, who referred the matter to U.S. Attorney John Durham. The longtime federal prosecutor, tasked by Attorney General William Barr with looking into the origins of the Russia collusion probe, reportedly has launched a criminal investigation into the FBI lawyer.
“The alterations were significant enough to have shifted the document’s meaning and came up during a part of Horowitz’s FISA review where details were classified,” CNN reports. The question naturally arises as to whether the details gained classified status because officials sought to hide the deception or whether the details actually rated such a designation. The heavily redacted warrant application dropped jaws upon its release by referring to opposition research as “research,” claiming a “law firm” rather than the Clinton campaign hired the investigators, and seemingly labeling former MI6 spook Christopher Steele as a “U.S. person.” The notion that an FBI employee altered a report already criticized for deception further undermines the credibility of the probe. more
Arrogant unelected partisan bureaucrats trying to run the country and undermine the will of the people! They should be tried for treason. You see it almost every day and it has to stop.

Wanna guess?
Consider Occam’s if you do.
I hope they don’t intend to pick off a few of the second stringers that were involved and expect us to believe that they’ve cleaned up the mess. They’re making a big deal out of this and who they named was some obscure agent. This rot isn’t going away by offering up some sacrificial lamb.
By the way, why is the irksome preppy Wray still heading the FBI?
This lawyer would be wearing a red shirt on Star Trek.
Hmmmm… looks like someone forgot to pay his “protection dues” to the democRAT party!
…aaaand, nothing comes of it, except they try to impeach President Trump some more.
…we already KNOW that the FISA court judge, Contreras, is good freinds with Strzok from Stzrok’s own text messages, and has had him over to dinner parties and such. We already know that judge Contreras is continuing to stand in the President’s way on a variety of issues and refuses to recuse himself despite yet another obvious conflict.
…any contempt against the FISA court proceeding will have to come from that Court. The ONLY things Contreras holds on contempt are the President and the American people.
Given that, it is very unlikey that anything can ever come of this…

… and I would have gotten away with it too, if it hadn’t been for you damn meddling Trumps!

Jason Nesmith : Ok, here’s the plan: first, Fred, we need a diversion to clear these things out of the compound, then Gwen, Alex, Fred and I go down to get the sphere. Any of those things come back Tommy, give a signal. Guy, you set up a perimeter.
Gwen DeMarco : Why does this sound so familiar?
Tommy Webber : “Assault on Voltarek III”. Episode 81 I think.
Guy Fleegman : We’re doing episode 81?
Tommy Webber : Whatever, the one with the hologram. The wall of fire.
Gwen DeMarco : How the hell is Fred supposed to project a hologram?
Guy Fleegman : We’re doing episode 81, Jason?
Jason Nesmith : It doesn’t have to be a hologram, just a diversion.
Guy Fleegman : Jason, are we doing episode 81 or not?
Jason Nesmith : It’s a rough plan, Guy, what does it matter if we’re doing episode 81 or not?
Guy Fleegman : BECAUSE I DIED… IN EPISODE 81!
Another dead lawyer..
No big deal,,,
Creating the narrative for the low-info voters prior to the Dec. 9 release:
“expect the inspector general to find mistakes in the FBI’s handling of the FISA process.”
It’s just mistakes folks. Just move along…

“What did Trump-loathing CNN mean by releasing this story?”
My guess is that this lawyer was paid off to take all the blame to protect Obama and the rest of the evil democrats who were illegally and immorally using the FISA process to get anything at all on Trump. There’s really no other reason for CNN to report something like this.
Watch the movie “Brotherhood of The Bell”.
It explains everything:

.
“… lawyer since separated from the bureau …”
See?
The FBI isn’t corrupt – only the lawyers who represent it!
Who directed the lawyer to commit fraud?
Who knew about it?
When did the FBI become aware of the fraud?
Was Mueller apprised of the fraud?
Was Comey aware of the fraud?
Did Schitt or any of his operatives know of the fraud?
Who financed the operation?
izlamo delenda est …
“Brotherhood of The Bell”.
God bless you for making it past the 3:01 mark,,,
Also starring The Fat Man (William Conrad) without Jake, than I had to bale,,
No Offense meant,,
I’m sure after 3 and a half hours, it’s much deeper
Best Regards

They are trying to put out a “grease fire” with water, one drop at a time.
^^^ More like a “dumpster fire” where CNN is concerned!

“Tried”? According to the Rule of Law. The Law they write to their own benefit. Subject to change without notice.
A charade to be played by their own performance? To be judged by their own standards. Subject to change without notice.
For all performers to split the take? According to what they can get away with. Subject to change without notice.
“Stop”? Drop the curtain on this current minute’s performance? Of course. Let the audience cheer. And throw money.
Oh? You meant “stop”. Period. Full. Sweet, sweet child… why ever would they do that?

Loyal citizen! You! Yes you! Stand still laddie!
Are you saying your patriotism fails? When The Party tells you, The Party has hired loyal (Proven! Loyal. Unlike certain citizens.) Party members, to tell you The Party is all good? Same as it ever was.
For shame! For treason. How un-United Statesian! Loyal citizen. You are loyal? Aren’t you? Citizen?

Who hired all, literally literal “all”, those involved?
We get it. This circle’s round.
Ooh look! And this circle’s round.
But LOOK! THIS circle’s round!
Lisa Page
… or someone inside Justice is already leaking
See, the whole FISA Abuse thing was a conservative conspiracy theory. It was just some lawyer doing something. And dude, this was like, three years ago.
Is it the FBI or FIB? Hard to tell!
The swamp needs a designated scapegoat, and a former FBI lawyer has been tasked to take the bullet. This guy has no FBI career to protect, and when he goes down the FISA judge (hey, I was lied to), the DNC/Hillary (we didn’t know), and the FBI (we had a rogue employee who is no longer with us) are off the hook.
CNN is the perfect vehicle to leak this story. CNN isn’t a real news organization, they have been anti-Trump even before the election, and they clearly carry water for the DNC and the liberals. Had CNN been concerned about the FISA Court/Carter Page issue, they would have investigated it at least two years ago – but they didn’t because they were still pushing the Russian collusion story. But between the DOJ investigation and the facts that have already come out, the DNC/Clintons/progressives need a sacrificial lamb in an effort to minimize damage.
Anonymous,
We like to vent – as in release built up pressure. We know it won’t change things but it gives simple people like me a sense of comradery – as in a spirit of friendship or belonging.
And who do you call a comrade?
The old Clinton trick. When they knew a story was
going to break over their heads they released it
with the best spin possible on a dead skunk and
then cried “that’s old news” when questioned.

By definition. By design.
> And who do you call a comrade?
I call all loyal citizens “comrade”.
