Thanksgiving’s Four Most Significant Blessings

Lifezette:

Do you have a special Thanksgiving tradition?

Most Americans do, and they’ll be enjoying them again soon on Thanksgiving and through the holiday weekend.

Some families like to stoke up their appetites by enjoying a friendly game of football before sitting down to the big feast.

Others like to get to bed early on Thanksgiving night, excited about rising early for the best Black Friday deals.

Scripture says that we should be “always giving thanks to God the Father for everything” (Ephesians 5:20).

From cover to cover, the Bible teaches that true Thanksgiving isn’t a sentimental feeling — but a genuine expression of gratitude to God for all the various ways He blesses our lives.

Do you want your Thanksgiving celebration to come alive this year?

Are you hungry for more than just empty expressions?

Thank God for these four blessings in your life:

  1. …already kind of did this in an earlier thread and don’t want to repost, but we can never thank God enough, so I thank Him for all the people in my life, all that I have from Him, for the gift of His grace, for the promise of His mercy, and most of all for the gift of His son. To Him be the glory for all things forever, amen.
