Local leaders in a southwest Virginia county have approved a resolution placing emphasis on citizens’ rights to form a militia and disavowing gun control measures expected to pass through the state legislature next year.
The Board of Supervisors in Tazewell County approved on Dec. 3 two resolutions according to local television station WJHL.
The first resolution declared the county a “Second Amendment Sanctuary,” mirroring an effort displayed by several other local municipalities fearful of strict gun control measures that could be handed down from the Democratically-controlled state government in Richmond.
That amended says the county would not devote county funds to “any effort that would infringe upon its citizens’ Second Amendment rights.” read more

was shooting people in a MD county, a lot
of which is wooded though the county was a fairly
developed place. He was hunted for weeks by police
choppers using thermal vision. He knew
this and stayed in the trees. Even though the
weather was cool, they never saw him.
Any law more restrictive than the 2nd Amendment is null & void.
If the federal government would just override states and communities, there wouldn’t be any of this to worry about.
“Gun control” is absolutely essential to tyranny.
Not simply as a means to foil resistance, but by criminalizing and demoralizing the peeps. No criminal can seriously object to his internment (or interment). Under every flavor of socialist tyranny (Fascist, National, Inter-National, Soviet, Chinese, NoKo, Yugoslav, Cuban, &c.) every citizen is either an actual or a potential criminal – simply by existing.

If a convicted felon completes his punishment successfully, should he be able to own a firearm legally?
In 18th century parlance, all male citizens able to take up arms already constituted “the militia”.
Ignorance of this fact counterproductively spreads disinformation and bolsters incorrect legal arguments against the Second Amendment. (“Well-regulated militia” means practiced not some organized group subject to “regulations” of the government.)

According to The Constitution of The United States, that is already the case. Maybe it’s not just the street soldiers that are “misinformed”?
