In the end, this is a glaring example of “classic overreach, done by people who keep failing.”

The day that was supposed to be the official beginning of the end for President Donald J. Trump has actually turned out to be the day the media officially realized they’ve failed to convince the American people to dump him, conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh declared on his radio program Wednesday.

“The Drive-By Media today wanted this to be a grave day — very grave, historic and solemn,” said Limbaugh. “They wanted people to stop what they were doing and to get very, very serious and solemn, and to understand how desperately needed and important it is to get Donald Trump thrown out of office so as to save the world. But they haven’t pulled it off… They wanted to be the equivalent of the father-confessor. But they know it’s BS. They know it’s all politics. They know it’s not grave. They know it’s not solemn. They know that you have not fallen into line.”

For evidence that the media knows they’ve failed on their impeachment agenda, Rush turned to NBC News “Meet the Press” host Chuck Todd talking with Lester Holt as the impeachment debate was about to kick off Wednesday morning.

“Pause for this moment in time, if you will. Impeachment. It’s a stain, it’s a mark of shame, something that will be noted in history,” said Holt, trying his best to insert some drama into the anticlimactic impeachment vote. But Todd just couldn’t go there, admitting that this feels more like covering a “government shutdown” than a “historic” impeachment:

TODD: I was struck both just last night and this morning how unremarkable today has suddenly felt — suddenly feels. And I say that because it is remarkable what’s happening, it is historic what’s happening, and yet it feels like… Let’s be honest, Lester. It feels like we’re coming on the air dealing with a government shutdown threat, not impeachment. And the reason I say it that way is because that is how numb I think our politics is to what we’re facing. I mean, this should be a moment where the whole country is basically having their own gut check, where we are having a national conversation trying to figure this out. The fact that we’re not having it just tells you how numb we are to the politics that we participate in.

“No, Chuck. No,” said Limbaugh. “It’s a testament to how ineffective your coup has been.”

What Todd is feeling, Limbaugh suggested, is the reality of the emptiness of the Democrats’ impeachment articles and the growing lack of support for their partisan campaign among the American people. read more

  2. Trump was impeached, and the media knows they’ve failed?

    So if Trump is actually removed from office, what will they know then?

    Those on the right need to realize that the Left will never give up and will never believe they’ve failed, they will just double down on their efforts until they get what they want.

    And what they want in this case is simple, Trump removed from office and his supporters removed from America.

    The right will probably learn we are engaged in a civil war a few years after they’ve lost it.

    But the time to fight a war is before you’ve lost it, not after.

    Certainly not the socialists – tyranny CAN’T look ridiculous.

    So.
    What’s going on?
    Internationally?

    The feint at President Trump was doomed before it began, regardless of the three year preparation, because, simply, there’s nothing there. They’ve been buying time – but for what? To further the Demonrat’s pernicious agenda, of course, but where, when, and how? The first effort in any strategy is “isolate the battlefield” and it’s prudent to assume that this is part of that strategy. More extensive future (continual) vote fraud? Negation? Civil unrest? Facilitate an Iranian nuclear attack on Israel?

    This isn’t drunken bum-stumbling through the dark. This is a concerted, contrived, co-ordinated, centrally directed, and very tightly controlled coup d’etat involving the FBI, CIA, NSA, DIA, Pentagon, State Dept., Media, Academia, and the DNC. This is NOT a simple confluence of events.

    Someone directs it (and it sure as Hell isn’t Nancy Pelosi, Adam Schitt, or Jerry Nadler).
    Someone finances it (which requires more resources than Pelosi and Clinton combined).
    And someone (probably that same one) profits.

    It’s fairly clear that Epstein didn’t kill himself – and the “whistleblower” won’t be a suicide, either. So, cui bono?

  24. With the current crop of ‘democrats’ in both the house and senate the president should look at impeachment as a POINT OF PRIDE.

    Being rejected by a pack of howling communists ought to be a point of honor for any American worthy of the name.

  30. There were a lot of progs on Twitter last night who thought Trump was packing his bags to leave the White House this morning. No, seriously. Now imagine how stupid the democrat House is. None of this impeachment stuff makes Pelosi or Schiff geniuses. They’re just the smartest ones in ‘that’ particular group. How sad is that?

    Go read the comments on that video! And those were from several months ago before the latest Dem Insanity.

    But, just looking at the Oregon/Washington blue zones does not tell the whole story. The topography tells the story. No way for the crazies in Seattle to contact the crazies in Portland. And absolutely no way to sneak down into California. There be mountains. And forests. And canyons. And armed “militia” in between. Portland and Seattle get isolated by trucker roadblocks and they slowly starve. Frankly, I can’t wait!!
