Bloomberg to skip Nevada Democratic caucuses

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Nevada Democrats will not be able to caucus for Michael Bloomberg next month.

The former New York City mayor and Democratic presidential candidate did not file with the Nevada State Democratic Party by a Jan. 1 deadline, the party announced Thursday morning.

Bloomberg is intending to bypass the four early voting states, including Nevada, which will be third to express a preference on the Democratic presidential field. Instead, he has his hopes hinged on other states, including California, where a large number of delegates are up for grabs. California is among more than a dozen states that vote on March 3, known as Super Tuesday. read more

  1. Who was it that pointed out that this kumquat and the other, steyer are only along to increase the coffers of the flailing dnc? They don’t need to try too hard.

  2. I apologize for this off topic rant, but did any one attempt to watch the new Fox show “The Deputy” last night? All of the commercials looked good, it seemed like it might be a show that would be a weekly must, but not exactly. I made it through the first sixty seconds. In the opening scene, the “hero” delivers a lecture on how he will not work with ICE and didn’t go in to law enforcement to separate families just because they are not documented. Absolute BS. I hope the show crashes and burns without even making it a full season.

  3. @Crackerboy; I’ve read similar things but they’ve included that Bloomberg and Steyer have no intention of really running and that besides building up a broke DNC’s bank they’re using their campaigns to run virulently anti Trump ads that otherwise wouldn’t see the light of day and perhaps force the GOP to run (and spend money) counter ads to those two dicks.

  4. NCO77, I lasted about 10 minutes into “the Deputy”. You didn’t miss anything. The show will be the predictable tripe of “good guy” vs. the “Politicians”, against the Bad Guys as long as the Bad Guys aren’t wanted by ICE. LA County must be really hard up for cash if our Deputy has to drive a 41 year old Ford Bronco as his Black& White. I expect it to be cancelled in 4 episodes, especially if it follows “Last Man Standing”.

  5. Little Lord Bloomberg is in North Carolina conning leftist elites today. Easy pickins in a battle ground state. Nevada must be small potatoes – not enough suckers.

  6. …Bloomberg is running his asshole ads in SW Ohio. Not sure why because the Dems took the place over in ’08, so it’s gonna go blue anyway. If he wants to waste money, this is a good way to do it, maybe its some kind of payoff to a local media magnate, otherwise it’s pretty pointless…

  7. NCO77, You described exactly my reaction and review of “The Deputy”. Thought it was going to be something like “The Unit” (CBS) based on the ads, but no, “The Deputy” (should be called “The Duped”) turns out to be nothing but SJW virtue signaling crap – a case of bait and switch. Hopefully, it will be cancelled ASAP.

  8. Nevada thanks you, Mr. Bloomberg. One down, 15 (or however many are still running) to go. Oh— please take our worthless state assemblymen with you.

  9. Yet he will continue to throw good money to an nomination he cannot win. Nevada was a “must win” state and he is by-passing 3 other states?

Something is not right. He just made it impossible to win the nomination.

  10. Don’t watch enough “TV” to know for sure, but the wife always has it blasting and noticed/overheard an ad for bloomie here in “Chicagoland.”

Mostly have my hearing aids turned off to avoid anything on the boob tube…
