People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) on Thursday expressed its disappointment in far-left socialist lawmaker Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) over her decision to own a French bulldog.
Ocasio-Cortez this week announced the newest addition to her family on social media.
“So we just did something big!” Ocasio-Cortez said on Instagram as she introduced her new dog.
“Hey boo boo, hi. Welcome to our family,” she said.
She confirmed on Twitter that she hopes to train him to become a “community pup.”
“Ideally we want to work to the point where he can enjoy town halls, be an Amtrak pup, come to the office, etc.,” she explained alongside a picture:
I hope he has patience for training Cortez.
Perfect. A 50 lb dog slobbering and peeing and pooping on everything, is she going to let it fight too?
Let’s not even pretend she is capable of training the dog.

Well she finally did something I can agree with! I am owned by several frenchies and pugs.
Great…now this thing will be pooping and peeing in the halls of congress. And the dog probably will too.
PETA is disappointed in her for owning a dog. I’m just disappointed in her, period.
She claimed she rescued it at a shelter.
I’m sure she did. Those shelters are overrun with every hipster’s favorite pure bred French Bulldogs.
She’ll have a sandwich sign on that dog by summertime!
