Police say Chicago Transit Authority robbery team has been working since 2018 — but investigators provide NO photos of the suspects

CWB Chicago: In a new community alert, Chicago police say a pair of robbers has repeatedly targeted CTA train passengers in the downtown area since May 2018. Yet, once again, CPD has failed to provide basic images of the men they believe are responsible for the ongoing crime pattern.

City officials have boasted near and far about the crystal clear and plentiful images of offenders that the CTA’s camera network can provide. But, time after time, investigators are releasing community alerts about violent crime patterns on the train system without disseminating a single photo of the suspects. more

  1. Five days ago there was a shootout and subsequent car crash in one of the busiest intersections here in Pensacola, 9th avenue and Cervantes. Two cars, each with 2 occupants, firing multiple rounds at each other in the middle of the day. One car crashed on the McDonald’s property and two men fled on foot into the adjacent neighborhood. The other vehicle sped away. At least one bullet hit the glass door of the McDonald’s. Did I mention that this happened in broad daylight at one of the busiest intersections in town?

Police warned the public to avoid the area and for those living in the adjacent neighborhood to lock their doors and be on the lookout for suspicious activity. Yet, no description of the perps was given in the reports I read (3). None. And there are homeless people on each corner, one in particular (whom I personally spoke with 2 days ago) was about 30-40 feet away from it all as it went down. The reports read:
    “Four men”
    “Occupants”
    “Suspects”

I guess no one saw anything. The police are looking for “a black Lexus.”

  2. “Dark complexion”
    “Dark hair”
    “Flat nose”
    “Full lips”
    “Brown eyes”
    “Average height”
    “Average build”
    “Answers to “Yo!””

Yeah, the written description is much more likely to help identify the suspect.
