Senator Lisa Murkowski Announces She Will Vote “No” on Witnesses

UPDATE:
51 NO
49 YES

RINOs Romney and Collins voted Yes.
Not today, demons. Not today.

CTH: After taking the night to consider the issues at hand, senator Lisa Murkowski announces she will not support a call for further witness testimony.  It appears the primary concern for Murkowski was her ‘yea’ vote creating a 50/50 split; and she anticipates Democrats attempting to manipulate further rules forcing Chief Justice Roberts to be the deciding factor.  Murkowski stated: “I will not stand for nor support that effort.”

  1. I did some quick research earlier this afternoon on Roberts being a ‘deciding vote’ and found out that nowhere in The Constitution does it say that a chief justice shall offer his vote as a tie-breaker. It doesn’t mention it, and so it isn’t proper to ask Roberts to do so.

  2. From Sundance’s retweet:

    swing state senator votes:

    Jones – yes
    Manchin – yes
    Romney – yes
    Collins – yes
    Sinema – yes
    Murkowski – no
    Alexander – no

I was so sick of Manchin pretending to be ‘center’
You couldn’t keep his ass off TV for the past month.
    Idiot.

  3. Translation of Murkowski’s comments: “I’m pretty far left even though I’m supposedly a Republican, and even I think you people are scumbags.”

  4. It’s fun to watch the nevertrumpers smiling with clenched teeth as they brainstorm out loud about how the Dems can get it right in the hypothetical next impeachment.

    Looking at you, Erick Erickson.

  6. I’m sorry MJA. My hearing isn’t what it used to be. Did you say that ERIC CIARAMELIA is the whistle blower who worked with members of Schiff’s committee to draw up impeachment findings?…

  7. Ditzy dishwater blondes on CBS saying Schumer controls the Senate now, because he can propose as many motions as he wants and an hour of debate required on each one. WTH?

  8. The United States Constitution requires that the Vice President votes in the Senate to break tie votes, not the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. This would have been the subject of endless debate and legal scuffles if the tie vote had been put before Justice Roberts. Thank you, Republican Senators for ending this act of political begrudgery.

  10. CBSN ditzy dishwater blondes said the majority of Americans wanted to call witnesses – that’s the word from the bubble.

The only CBSN person who sound like he knows anything is a white man. The guy just said the sergeant at arms is going to arrest people, apparently Republicans.

  11. Trump wins again.

You’d think the Democrats would eventually realize they’re on the wrong side of things, but no. They’re blinded by hatred, speak only to fellow haters, demonize dissent, and will do anything to get rid of Trump.

Sorry, but he’s still your President.

Actually I’m not sorry about that.

    I’m happy.

Trump needs to repeal the 22nd amendment, so he can be re-elected as many times as he wants.

Also, he should be officially allowed a ‘do-over’ of his first term, since he was under a contrived, bogus and rigged investigation the whole time.

So that’s settled. No 2020 presidential election, we’ll do that in 2024 when Trump runs for, and of course wins, his ‘second’term.
