OAN: On Wednesday, President Trump welcomed interim Venezuelan President Juan Guaido to the White House. The president met with Guaido for talks on the situation in the South American nation amid Guaido’s efforts against the Maduro regime.
The White House said the two presidents are working to expedite a democratic transition and end the economic crisis in Venezuela. Officials also called the meeting “an opportunity to reaffirm the commitment of the U.S. to the people of Venezuela.”
Guaido thanked President Trump and the United States government for their continued support and commitment. read more

Guaido is the wrong horse to bet on — but he is the only horse in the race right now.
Chavez and Maduro have setup things in Venezuela to assure that the only way to accomplish a regime change is for every neighborhood and every family to bleed. The vast majority of people of Venezuela adored Chavez and praised Maduro, until he ran out of money. They are ultimately responsible for their current state and they are the only ones who can change it.
If the US intervenes militarily, Maduro could be deposed, but the militant Left, probably Maduro himself, will win back control of the country within 10 years. Nicaragua is the example they look to.
