The Scorpion and the Frog

Patriot Retort: I’m sure you all know the story of the scorpion and the frog. If you are unfamiliar with it, I’ll recount it for you.

  1. Anytime I see a scorpion image, it reminds me the time I hiked to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and got bit by one of those suckers. Didn’t even see it, but heard it scurrying away!

Not getting PTSD or anything like that right now, BUT I do remember my outer extremities went numb (tingly) for about 12 hours. Then I had to hike out after that! And threw up near the top, just before making it out…

I’ll pass on the nuance of this fable…but I’ll take the frogs side for said reason…

  2. Said it before and I may get yelled at for saying it again, but that’s okay.

I never, ever trust any Mormon in a position of political power. Ever.

The reason is that the LDS believes that it will grow to fill and take over the whole world for its blasphemous caricature of God (once a man, now evolved to godhood). The devout really believe this, though they don’t talk about it with outsiders for obvious reasons. Don’t take my word for it, look it up.

That means that the ultimate purpose of Mormonism will always be the ultimate but secret priority with any high level Mormon with access to levers of national power…furthering SLCs influence.

Does that help explain Mitt Romney? I don’t know, maybe not. He could just be a craven scumbag. But what I said above is fact.

  3. I never voted lib except when fooled (’76 +88)! So I never voted GWB. Johnny nor Mitt. History has confirmed the wisness of my votes!

Mitt hated Ronny for decades! Still does@ GWB’s acolyte BHO was no good; but much better than Mitt!

  4. Excellent comments, grool. Agreed. Mormonism is a cult. Not surprising Mitten’s loyalty and faith are based on deception and lies.
Makes it easy for him to backstab his constituents, party and President Trump. Mittens reminds me of the snake in the Garden of Eden – an evil, self centered opportunist who craves attention and power.

  5. Mittens must be very friendly with Satan, aka, the snake of the Garden of Eden. He’s too proud of himself after betraying people who trusted him. What a despicable jerk.

  6. As I understand it is doing what mittens did increases his “works righteousness” status on the way to him being “good” enough to be given his own planet to be god over.

And you and I’s souls, if claimed rightly, will be his loyal subjects in the next world.

    Are we having fun yet?

  7. I ascribe no religious motives to Mittens at all. His backstabbing is merely for the most mundane and common reason of all: greed.

He looked absolutely panicked in the interview with Chrissy Wallace. Liked he hadn’t slept in days. They are all panicked now because the storm is just around the corner in June.

As for his Jesus excuse, I will admit the storm will be biblical…

  8. Hans,

“As I understand it is doing what mittens did increases his “works righteousness” status on the way to him being “good” enough to be given his own planet to be god over.

And you and I’s souls, if claimed rightly,”

That is true, but when you start talking about works, remember that north of 95% of Christendom, which includes anybody and everybody who names the name of Christ, has been told by a church to spend their lives and money doing some kind of work, either to earn or to keep God’s approval — in contradiction of Ephesians 2:9.

Mormons are not alone in depending upon work, they just have a very weird twist on what it’ll buy them.

Agreed. This issue has been the most controversial issue in most religions. Sadly, most people think religion and faith must have a human point or value.

Christianity is the one faith that holds a Creator who needs nothing other than the acknowledgement that He is the Creator and desires nothing from humans but a relationship. We can do nothing to earn his favor other than to accept His reconciliation through the actions of His Son Jesus Christ.

It is only upon our reconciliation and restoration to relationship that we adopt His ways and live as His ethics and commandments require.

People don’t understand this and churches/religions try to get some kind of hook/catch/dig into their faithful to have leverage. And that my friend is an abomination to God.
