For a while, Spain paid so much for electricity derived from solar that some companies were shining lights on the panels at night. Al Gore would be proud.

Were camping in the U.P in Michigan a couple years ago in a rustic campground (no electric, hand pump water station, pit toilets). A snobby couple in a gigantic motorhome were charging their Nissan leaf off the motorhomes generator. Was quite loud and when they left we had to clean up their campsite. They were total jerks with no thoughts for fellow campers.
A car that runs about 120 miles and then has to be re-charged OVERNIGHT.
Think about it.
Say you want to drive from southwest MO to VA (~1000 miles).
What can be driven (by a gasoline vehicle) in about 17 hours becomes 9 days.
And you only get 2 hrs or so of driving each day. So unless you’re writing a book, reading one, or drink alot, mostly you’re just sitting on your ass waiting for the fucking car to charge.
Come to think of it, if you got no place to go and don’t care how long it takes to get there, this is the perfect answer.

A friend of mine’s mom has a Prius and it died on the road by his house, they tried to push it out of the road but apparently you can’t roll a Prius, they can’t be pushed by hand. When not running they lock up the wheels. So wait for a tow truck.
Remember when you just kept a gas can and walking shoes in the trunk for these brain farts.
