Reuters: MILAN (Reuters) – A bridge on a normally busy provincial road in northern Italy collapsed on Wednesday but, with virtually no traffic due to the coronavirus lockdown, only two truck drivers suffered minor injuries, the fire brigade said.

the Roman Army once built a bridge over the Rhine River in one day, crossed their army over it the next day, surprised the Germanic tribes in a pitched battle, crossed back over & destroyed the bridge the next day … absolute bad-asses! … everywhere they went they built roads & bridges, many are still here today

When I was a kid, I remember seeing aqueducts in my 5K year old village (Greece) and they were still working.

I would do a deep dive into who built, inspected, approved, etc. the building of this particular bridge.
I think I read it was a relatively new construction.
A fire brigade team helped by dogs inspected the debris of the concrete bridge, dating back to 1908 and rebuilt after World War Two, but did not find any other vehicles.
What about the Florida International Pedestrian Bridge that collapsed in Florida in 3 days.
