Antibody Testing: Proves We’ve Been Had!

Townhall: There is simply no other way to state this.

Nearly everything we’ve been told about models, rates of infection, deaths, and recoveries was inaccurate.

I’m not here to argue that it was malfeasance or ignorance — both are unacceptable. But the one thing that Governor Andrew Cuomo’s stunning announcement made clear on Thursday is that there are some pretty shocking — and what should be — reassuring truths.

Cuomo announced that antibody testing in New York state, which only began four days previous, was already demonstrating that at minimum 13.9% of New Yorkers, had COVID-19 late stage antibodies.

The implication of this is a shockwave to the system.

With a population of 19,540,500 the findings point out that over 2,500,000 New Yorkers had the virus and have recovered. Keep in mind that as of this writing that only 263,000 New Yorkers have currently confirmed cases. Also as of this writing New York has reported 19,543 fatalities.

We’ve been told that the true death rate is 7.4% in New York. We were told there would be hundreds of thousands dead. We were told that this was worse than the flu, which has still recorded more deaths to date in this past flu season—even though the CDC instructed medical personnel to start counting influenza, heart disease, pulmonary, respiratory, drug overdose, and possibly even car crash deaths as COVID-19 deaths. read more

  1. The Bernie Madeoff style lawsuits will be just the start
Avenattis of the world are smelling Money
What ever happened to that Acton money grubber that helped instigate the stock panic.
Didn’t he clear 5 Billion sfter it was discovered he was shorting?
    Did he evaporate?
What about the rest of Them.

How well will retirees digest that money grubbing recipe?

  2. Drs. Fauci and Blix screwed the pooch. They chose wrong models and took the wrong action which did not help to end this disease, It help to foster infections. The states that did not shut down had lower rates if infection than those that did. Medically incompetent pencil pushers

  3. POTUS Trump cannot continue to be led down the garden path by those two entrenched and professionally/politically/morally-conflicted people, Fauci and Birx. Red flags popped up early about them. Fauci is incapable of giving unbiased opinions while shielding himself behind the word “scientist.” Birx is little more than a dear, sweet grandmotherly face who gives horribly conflicted advice and doesn’t give straight answers to straight questions.

    Independent investigator, independent prosecutor. Now.

  4. I guarantee you the response from the gubment to any facts will be one, some, or all of the following:

    1. We did what was best with the facts we had at the time
    2. The quarantine saved lives (prove them wrong!)
    3. Better safe than sorry
    4. We are now better prepared for a pandemic in the future
    5. What we instituted was necessary given the unknown factors involved in attempting to predict the spread of an unknown disease

  5. Most of the Democrat governors, muddjuice, are not even going to back-track and rationalize with such thinking. They’re going to stand their lock-down ground and refuse to explain their unconstitutional actions.

Even the chances of a majority of Americans waking up in time to the truth (and going from the stupid column to temporarily smart) is below 50%, in my increasingly cynical opinion.

It’s like we’re in the swirls of a flushing toilet.

  6. Putting my foil hat on, I wonder if leftists in the US and elsewhere are working with the Chinese in order to find out just how far government can go in wiping out those pesky little things known as civil liberties.

    The windup.

by those two entrenched and professionally/politically/morally-conflicted people,

    The swing!

    Fauci and Birx.

    And the miss.

  9. This might be a little dated, but here were notes from a Medical student (name withheld) of an MIT epidemiologist forwarded to me in March:

    1) There are 18 other COVID viruses prior to COVID-19 with no similar concern problem.

    2) COVID-19 testing can produce up to 80% false positive results.

    3) Affects mainly elderly with several other ongoing diseases and immune-compromised individuals.

    4) Deaths resulting from symptoms of COVID-19 (which mimic other respiratory diseases)are said to have died due to COVID-19 with no autopsy, COVID-19 testing, or with COVID-19 testing (up to 80% false positives)

    5) Maintaining six-foot distance between people has never been proven (or studied) scientifically to reduce transmitted infection. Maybe the reason why no one is wearing masks or maintaining six feet distance during white house COVID-19 press breifings.

    6) The only way (via scientific studies) of reducing transmitted infection is to isolate infected individuals (i.e. “quarantine”).

    7) Finding antibodies does not indicate resistance to COVID-19 since the antibodies are not specific to COVID-19 but to a variety of other things unless there is a test for antibody-specific assay.

    8) COVID-19 is showing having the same mortality (0.1%) as seasonal flu and not a concern — was said by Fauci at a doctor’s convention, and then turned around and publicly announced it being an oncoming pandemic of concern.

  10. Whether a pandemic or a hoax, the tyrants have used the opportunity to test the American people’s resilience and their tendency to give up liberty in favor of “safety”….

  11. Please stop calling the lockdown / house arrest a quarantine. Quarantine is what you do to sick people. Freedom restrictions imposed on people who are not sick is an entirely different authoritarian animal.

Pianamusic got it right. Only real quarantines have been effective at controlling the spread of communicable diseases.

  12. All of you people should be relived that you’re the sole survivor of this deadly, deadly incurable disease that turned out to be our 9/11 and Little Big Horn combined.

  13. I don’t get the 6 foot distance. Who came up with that number? I heard on doctor say 9, heard another say 12, and more that say it’s useless. lol.

Meanwhile, muslims – over there— are drinking hot camel pee (Because cold pee isn’t as nutritious?) but they also think they’re immune, because… muslim.

  14. I wish I knew where I could get a “sole survivor of Covid 2019” tee shirt. I would have ordered two but my last goat died about 7 months ago and she hadn’t been tested before the coyotes cleaned her up one night. I guess you can’t order two if your the lone sole survivor….DUH!…..

  15. @Aaron Burr….alls I need is your mailing address?….cool, make it 50, 25 1x and 25 2x….long sleeve pocket shirts preferred. The big girls won’t bitch about not getting one because we all know that big girls don’t cry….

  17. C’mon Willy, nobody likes a sulky caddy.

By nobody, I mean me. Kid didn’t even punch out of the warehouse he’s so upset. It’s O.K though, I know his aunt. We’ll track him down and sober him up in time for my 8:30 AM tee time on Sunday.

And in the spirit of compromise, I promise to help improve his English. It was really only funny the first time he called my driver a “balloon stick.”
