Chicago Cops crash Airbnb party in Lakeview; Gun, 20 pounds of pot, and stolen SUV found

CWB: Police recovered a handgun, 20 pounds of marijuana, cash, and a stolen car after they responded to a complaint about people partying without maintaining social distancing in a Lakeview garage early Sunday, according to CPD. The partiers rented the property via Airbnb, according to a source.

No charges were filed in the case as of late Sunday night.

Officers responded to calls of 15 men failing to maintain a six-foot distance from each other while hanging out in a garage on the 1900 block of West Wolfram at 12:55 a.m., according to police. One 911 caller said she thought she saw a gun in the garage.

She was apparently correct.

  1. I was sitting on my backyard patio throwing the ball for my dog a few days ago and one of my neighbors came over for a chat. There’s a large park across the street from us and he said he was out putting golf balls there – all by himself – no one else in the whole park and someone else in the neighborhood reported him. The police showed up and told him he had to leave the park because of “social distancing.” WTF? We are surrounded by Nazi assholes.

  2. A neighbor snitched over “social distancing”. See how easy our government begins KGB tactics, “We heard you were” and law enforcement is at your front door. I still say this COVID is a political opportunity to corral the people. See how easy it became when there are true believers willing to do the right thing while turning in their neighbors. They already want to kill Trump voters.
