St. Louis Man Charged With Murder of David Dorn Previously Got 7-Year Prison Sentence But Never Served

Well, gee. Sounds like they may need to defund that court, too.

Dan Bongino: A 24-year-old man has been charged with the murder of retired St. Louis police captain David Dorn last week.

After a night full of rioting and looting in the city, the 77-year-old Dorn was found on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound outside Lee’s Pawn and Jewelry, where he was volunteering to protect his friend’s store.

According to KSDK local news, Kim Gardner the St. Louis Circuit Attorney announced that 24-year-old Stephan Cannon has been charged with first-degree murder, first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary and three counts of armed criminal action, as well as being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Cannon was allegedly also caught on video with a firearm at that time and location as well. At the time the shots were fired, Cannon is alleged to be the only one standing at that corner, according to the charging documents. The documents also allege that Cannon can be seen approaching the door to the pawn shop once Dorn had been shot and fell to the ground. read more

  1. Forget the trial and sentencing.
    The “justice” system is broken.
Vigilantes need to hang this asshole from the highest lamppost, let him do an “air dance” as an example to other wanna-be murderers.

  2. There was a guy in this county (southern MO) who was arrested for his THIRD violation of parole and was told he had to serve his 7-year sentence – but could be out in 120 days!

    Wobbles the mind.
No one – NO ONE – should be sent to prison lightly. It’s a serious step and I doubt that anyone comes out of it better (with an improved disposition). I’ve seen NO evidence that “rehabilitation” works – simply because we don’t take it seriously. Sending drug users to jail is fucking stupid – if it’s in society’s interest to get them off drugs – THEN GET THEM OFF DRUGS! Don’t pen them up with professional criminals – where they’re abused such that they become psychotic.

Better to send all our criminals to France (they welcomed Roman Polanski, after all) or execute them (it’s more humane).
