Ex-anchor Soledad O’Brien says CNN executive told her to host only the ‘right kind of black person’

Just The News:

Soledad O’Brien tweeted Saturday that a CNN executive had expressed an opinion about a certain individual being the wrong type of black person.

“This is an interesting read. Reminds me of the cnn exec who told me: “Roland Martin isn’t the ‘right kind of’ Black person.” She didn’t want me to book him on my show,” O’Brien tweeted.

“Charles Blow, she told me, (also a frequent guest) was ‘the right kind of Black,’” O’Brien said in another tweet.

Yashar Ali ✔@yashar1. EXCLUSIVE: For the past six months I’ve been investigating a very powerful media executive you’ve never heard of: ABC News head of talent Barbara Fedida. What I uncovered is confidential settlements, racist and inappropriate statements, and more…https://bit.ly/2zxBjqA

New York Times columnist Charles Blow reacted to O’Brien’s assertions about the alleged comments. “I don’t know how to take this ‘good negro’ talk,” he wrote.

Roland Martin responded with his own allegations about CNN, including that he was cautioned against using the word “bruh.” Martin said he was told to “be careful saying stuff like bruh. We don’t want to scare away white viewers.” MORE

  1. She dragged down ABC? I don’t know — ABC was whale shit before I got there.

She is chairwoman of Starfish Media Group, which Chasten knows all about. Or maybe not. He doesn’t like women.

In any case she can fuck off.

  2. Here is how the game is played:

Within the black community leaders have arisen organically who are true leaders of the productive elements therein. People looking to improve their lot in life and that of their peers. Good people whose heart is in the right place.

Then when it comes time to speak for that community the progressive control of the media makes it so that these people either fall in line with the progressive narrative or they are frozen out. The microphone goes to the ones who are doing the bidding of the progressive movement and no one who actually represents the organic leadership that has arisen within that community and actually speaks for that community can get their message out.

I have seen it in action when I was very involved in advocacy on behalf of the disabled community. The non profit power structure is organized and controlled from the top down. Any non profit that does not toe the progressive line from Alpha to Omega is pushed aside and marginalized and frozen out. They do this by having their people on the grant scoring committees that decide which 501c3 organizations get funding and which do not. They instill their people in leadership positions in those who get funding and it is no secret that these people are untouchable… that is if you ever want to see another dime.

It is a viscous and nasty game and the media is an integral part of it.

They tried to move in and co op our group and enlist them in support of every progressive/Democrat cause that came along. We shunted them aside and did our own thing and were very successful because we didn’t need their involvement.

  3. Remember how she was caught reading and taking her talking points from liberal blogs on live TV when she was working on CNN?
She is among the worst. No wonder she was working at CNN.
    They deserve each other.
