Blaze: The debate over the effectiveness of masks and whether the government should be forcing people to wear them has raged for weeks. The extremes on the two sides are either sure that non-mask wearers are going to kill everybody’s grandma or that the masks are a tool of government control aimed to curb every freedom in ‘Merica.
One Oregon county, apparently not content with the standard screaming matches over requiring face masks, decided to officially insert another divisive topic into the debate: race.
What did they do?
Lincoln County, which is on Oregon’s north-central coastline, declared last week that everyone has to wear a mask — except non-white people who are nervous about being harassed because they’re wearing a face mask. more here
I have a “Trump 2020” mask I’d wear – if forced to.
And I’d carry a piece of paper. If stopped and asked, “why aren’t you wearing a mask?!”, I would hold the paper up against my skin, “the paper is white. does my skin look like the paper? No? Then I am a POC, not white. Have a good day…….somewhere else.”
Really, though, giving a “set aside” to POC is RACISS all by itself. Nervous about being harassed for wearing a face mask? What does that say? Racial stereotypes much?
I think the proper title to this article is “Oregon County Tries To Kill All Of It’s Black Residents”. After all, the CDC says Black peeps are much more susceptible to the virus then whitey.

I’d roll my eyes but seriously my eyes are tired of rolling so much lately. Do people not realize how bad all of the idiotic (and downright discriminating) rules makes them sound?
They might think they’re doing the ‘right’ thing but in reality they are perpetuating racism.

Well, if I lived up there and was stopped for not wearing a mask, I’d have to tell them that I identify as a handicapped pregnant black transvestite on welfare and am looking for one of my baby daddies, who is out looting somewhere. Oh, and I’d be carrying a skateboard.
How is this not discriminatory towards white people. I have a hard enough time with our stupid governor Inslee making wearing masks mandatory as of Friday in any public place. I’m going to buy myself a red bandana and either look like a hippie or a bank robber. Fortunately our local Mayor will not enforce any fines for not wearing a mask in public. How much more shit do these fools think we’ll put up with before the shit hits the fan and we fight back?
If it comes to that I’m wearing cheesecloth. Not seeing a lot of complaint people around outside the stores in Oregon.
I’d like to see how that order holds up in court, preferably a Federal court.

Oh, I think people (at least in middle America) are already fighting back by simply ignoring idiotic rules when they don’t make sense. Up until they scheduled my surgery I hadn’t been wearing a mask to most places. Except for doctors/hospitals… if they ask me to. Since then I’ve worn one most places just as precaution. I need this operation to happen. Never thought I’d be saying that but the pain I’ve had since January has gotten really bad lately.
Put it this way, I wore one to vote yesterday and I think I may have been the only person in sight who wasn’t a poll worker who had one on. And only a couple of them had them on. Course it’s a small county but still. Same in the grocery store after that. People aren’t wearing them unless they have a reason to. Which is the way it should’ve been to begin with.

So the people whom, according to the experts, are most at risk for the virus are being exempted from wearing, according to the experts, the best protection to avoid the virus. Getting the ones Planned Parenthood missed?

But Zorro masks only cover your eyes and not your nose and mouth. I wonder if anyone will try it just because and tell the mask Nazi’s that he is wearing a mask.
