Until We Have Faces: The American Niqaab

American Thinker:
By Judith Acosta

The other day I was in the garden with a friend, enjoying all the tender blessings of nature when, suddenly, a large vinegaroon crawled past her bare feet. It is a formidable-looking bug, but completely benign to humans. She leapt up like a gazelle on the savannah. After I captured and released the offender and my friend settled down, I asked her what made her so terrified of it and, as it turned out, of all bugs.

She said succinctly, “They have no faces.”

Faces may not be the only, but they are certainly the primary vehicle of emotional communication between us. This is not just true for humans, but for many other animals on this earth. When a creature is expressionless, it becomes alien…and dangerous.

And that set me to thinking about the newest mutation in the American genome: the mask .

A while back, a colleague and I were talking about the effect of the niqaab on children in Muslim countries. Although we were on opposite ends of the spectrum politically, we agreed wholeheartedly that covering the mother’s face (and anyone who looked like the mother, meaning all women) was fundamentally, psychologically, and spiritually destructive in the extreme. The one who birthed, caressed, and fed you was as personal and recognizable as a mass-manufactured tent. Ultimately what happens is that women are literally objectified, meaning, they are things, “others,” and, as such, dangerous or, at best, utilitarian.

The other day, I walked into a store I had been frequenting for years. I knew some of the staff by name. As I hadn’t seen a couple of them in a while, I went up to a man I didn’t at all recognize and asked him where X was. He lowered his mask for a second, and…yes, he was X.

What intrigued me most as I walked away after a good giggle with him, was that after years of knowing him, I didn’t see him—his mask was covering his face. MORE

  1. It’s much more insidious than that. The mask is just the next step in our social conditioning. The mask has been the most glorious success story for the authoritarian pharmaceutical corporate state. Not only are the powers that be commanding you to cover your face, but they have used the media in such a way to condition people to do their work for them. The idea of social shaming someone into wearing a mask is just one step closer to forced vaccinations with “markers” or “tattoos” using the same technique. It sounds like conspiracy theory tinfoil hat type stuff. But it’s not. These things are in place right now. Virus tracking. What does that mean? Are they tracking the virus? No, they are tracking your every movement and everyone you’ve come into contact with. Privacy is a thing of the past. An antiquated idea kind of like the second amendment. Don’t be mistaken, we are already being tracked everywhere we go. How do you think the map application works on your phone? It knows that there’s an accident up ahead because it’s tracking all of this cell phone users speed. I used to think that the Bill Gates vaccine conspiracy theory was silly, until I started researching it. They are not even trying to hide what they’re doing I’ve taken screenshots on Wikipedia of them openly saying they are creating a vaccine that has a marker or a tattoo to show that you’ve had your vaccine shot. There’s also a movement right now to have Global identification put in place.
I’m on my phone getting ready to go into work, but I’m going to post the information that I found for you guys to look out for yourself. They’re not trying to hide their intentions. We are headed for a very dangerous place.

  2. This situation reminds me of the movie “The Wall” The faceless prisoners on the train, and the faceless children at school.
    The masks dehumanize us.

  3. I was wearing (much to my chagrin) a mask at the grocery store yesterday for the 1st time. (I do not wear masks said the man in the mask.) I was reminded just how much feeling is perceived through the eyes. I saw concerned eyes, happy eyes, very sad eyes and some un-nerving dead eyes. Race was not a consideration. Always new experiences.

  4. Isolate and alienate us from one anther so we no longer feel like individuals within a larger group.

Then regiment the group to be the way you want it to be and do what you want it to do.

That’s what you see going on around you if you look, and that is the purpose of the entire corona response effort which has nothing to do with disease prevention no matter how much you are told it does.

The world has changed, and we let it do so with very little resistance.

  5. I hate having to forcefully wear a mask in public places. I also despise Jay Inslee and his unconstitutional edict of wearing masks when in public places. At least 2 Sheriffs in Wash. state are telling Inslee to go pound sand and will not enforce this law requiring masks. And I believe that my Spokane County Sheriff Ozzie Knezovich and our Mayor Nadine Woodward will tell Inslee to do the same because they are both fed up with Inslee’s bullying bs and fear mongering. Inslee was here Friday and did nothing to help our situation in Eastern Washington but blather more bs about the how bad the wu flu is and how he has the power and authority to control it, go to Hell Jay.

  6. Mandatory masks are the mark of The Beast – a sign of submission to the demonic state religion of wokeness, which has no concept of redemption nor forgiveness and whose commandments are structured to build Hell on Earth.

  7. I do not and will never own a smart phone. Those that do have come to depend on them and “can’t leave home without it”. They have changed social etiquette for the worse in many ways and have given the deep state powers that far exceed Orwell’s 1984.

  8. Coming soon – the shaming of the “maskless” by legislation which will offer greater penalties than beating up your significant other or child.

In addition there will not be bail alloyed due to the belief that such behavior is so very dangerous to public safety that it will be listed as worse than “illegal immigration or some such”

  9. I am about ready to go back to a flip phone. My so called smart phone keeps connecting me to people I don’t even know on Snapchat an app I don’t even use. All I need is a simple flip phone just for answering all my calls and not some fancy schmancy phone that does everything but wash windows and wipe my ass. And if I want a camera I’ll buy a good decent one. I don’t need my life to be choreographed and hijacked by a phone that plays music and videos etc., that’s what my satellite radio and Pandora are for. And besides I can’t text worth a damn and I really don’t want to, if someone wants to talk to me call me on my phone.

  10. geoff – I know exactly what you mean. Here are some ‘Linux phone’ developments worth keeping your eye on in case what you really need is a smart phone under your total control.

Wikipedia has an interesting page on open source phone development:

I’m waiting for things to mature a bit before ditching Android (which I have clamped down as tight as I can get it.)

  11. My observation FWIW.

Each round is 3 weeks apart. Covid is already a “thing” by second round.
First and second 3 day rounds of chemo. Patients are allowed companions. Chemo shop is happy bouncy place. Even the sickest trying to smile, laugh and joke with strangers. Atmosphere is social like Love Boat.

Round 3, patients are not allowed any companions unless they are difficult in that they are mentally compromised and might become agitated and try to rip IV from themselves. Everyone still smiling and laughing except for one or two who sleep through their 4 hour ordeals.

Round 4. Smiles far and few between. Many are wearing masks. Sad eyes. No interaction with anyone even though everyone usually have always been at least 6 feet apart.

Round 5. Sign on door indicating masks required. I invoke ADA. Heavy coaxing from office manager for me to wear a mask. She gave me one. Asked me to please at least hang it on my ear. I carried it.
Everyone is wearing mask except for me. Atmosphere totally morgue-like. Very depressing. No laughter, no interaction even at a distance…eyes betrayed suspicion and fear of person not wearing mask. ME. Must make the devil happy. Only one person said hi to me. I didn’t recognize her b/c she had a mask.

    Round 6.
Nearly same as round 5, but worse atmosphere. I hung mask on my ear just to stop any possible staff attitude. Hey, they have life and death control over me!

    “American Thinker”? “Conservatives”? “Judeo-Christians”?

Let me get a second opinion… “Captain Renault? Did you know these were all lesbians? Feminists? A distinction without a difference? Every. Damn. One?”

    (He’s as shocked, as I.)

I think it was Yosemite Sam, who said “Never interrupt a bunny, making a ‘tragic’ mistake”.

Only after the world’s current bankers are gone. But, then again, when the world’s current bankers are gone, why will you care?
