4. I love sarcasm, and after reading this piece, I cannot see it as anything else. She is not nearly old enough to have been a fan of (real) rock music. I would have been much more gullible if she said pop, folk, or even classical.

11. Well, since my name IS Karen, I try my very best to fit the moniker. I am as blatant about not wearing a mask as I can be. (Although I really don’t tell other people how to go about their lives.)

12. I always had a thing for girls named Patty which is why I married a girl named Patty. Karen not so much, Karen’s always seemed to be dowdy old maids and school marm types for the most part. The best Karen I knew was a Japanese woman friend who was a veterinarian and was married to another veterinarian. They called her Gooch when she played softball with my late wife on a church league softball team back in the 70’s and early 80’s.
