PJMedia: In an interview with Vogue, San Francisco Mayor London Breed discussed a range of issues. When asked about the current cultural moment, she said that she was overwhelmed by the response from people who are not black to the Black Lives Matter movement. However, she also expressed frustration with so-called “white allies.”
When asked if she had any critiques of the current demonstrations, she responded:
I have a real problem with the takeover of the movement by white people.
I want people to respect the opinions and feelings of Black people and allow us to decide what is in our best interest. I talk about the plan to reduce the police budget and reallocate those resources to the African American community, and a large number of non-Blacks reached out to tell me what I should do for the Black community. Then, they say what their community deserves because of their challenges as well. That really bothered me. The Black community [of San Francisco] is capable of speaking for ourselves and deciding what’s in our best interest.
Then she answered a question about whether for not she felt that the concerns of San Francisco’s black residents were being heard. Breed sharply criticized the progressive movement: MORE

Vietvet, I’m not so sure anymore that white people created the movement. Remember back when the US would criticize the USSR and the communist tyranny over the soviet people, and the Kremlin would fire back with, “What about your treatment of your Negroes?”

Kinda’ slow on the uptake there Mayor. We recognized a real problem with the takeover of our movement by progressive movement activists, predominantly angry, college indoctrinated, white and female. I worked with another guy to mobilize the disabled community in response to local government building non accessible sidewalk. We could mobilize hundreds on 24 hours notice and have them show up at “public outreach” sessions that were nothing but dog and pony shows of the most transparent sort.
They were only interested in “helping us” once we started appearing on the regional news. Prior to that they were not interested.
What we saw going in as that they wanted to add our numbers to their coalition of misfits and malicious, maladjusted malcontents. They wanted to use these people to give them an element that crossed political boundaries giving them broad based support throughout the community.
By the third time they had showed up to participate they were telling us how everything had to progress and that everyone need to support each other.
At the end of the meeting, ten of us met with them and vamoosed their asses. To make it sure they got the message we “trespassed them” from our meetings.
Here is what they had to offer: They were thick as thieves with the worst, most inconsiderate, most vile examples of politicians we had had to fight tooth and nail along the way.
They had larger numbers than we did, and they wanted to absorb our movement and use them to advance their bullshit causes.

I understand your situation. I first witnessed something similar in 1977. I volunteered for a national solar event. I didn’t know. I was a dumb kid.
Once the money on K street dried up, the leftists left.
I determined at that point that they were money grubbing leftists for hire. Aka crony capitalists. They weren’t in it for the cause. They were there for the dough.
Like I said it was a long time ago and perhaps solar energy was promising. 40 plus years later? It didn’t really work out.
But my exposure to professional leftists was an invaluable experience. They are frauds.
